About the Role

We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Hybrid, Tampa, FL) to help power the next generation of Harness products. You’ll work across our TypeScript stack—building beautifully responsive UIs in React and secure backend components using NestJS, Postgres, AWS, and Terraform. This role will mostly sit 2 days in-office and 3 days remote, with some changes based off business needs.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver polished features that connect consumers, nonprofits, and financial institutions through our platform.

This is a great opportunity for someone focused on gaining independence and cross-system awareness, taking accountability for delivering components of larger projects, and building products that are elegant, resilient, and impactful.

What you’ll do

  • Implement moderate-scope full-stack features from UI to API to database using React, NextJS, NestJS, and Postgres with minimal oversight.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design, working effectively across disciplines to solve real customer problems and ship elegant solutions.
  • Begin assessing design tradeoffs and proposing small optimizations for our infrastructure, performance, and APIs.
  • Write high-quality, tested code, review peer code, and share context to elevate the team.
  • Take accountability for delivering components of larger projects, iterating quickly, and sharing early for feedback (Progress over Perfection).
  • Stay calm under shifting requirements or feedback cycles (Be Resilient) and build trust by helping peers debug or unblock (Bring Good Vibes).

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2-5 years of experience building and maintaining web applications.
  • Proficiency with React, NextJS, and TypeScript for frontend development.
  • Experience working with Node.js frameworks (preferably NestJS) and Postgres.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Passion for owning your work with pride and delivering quality results

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Terraform and AWS for infrastructure-as-code and cloud management.
  • Exposure to gRPC APIs.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Exposure to CI/CD workflows, monitoring tools, and on-call rotations.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001).

Compensation

$115,000-135,000
This position requires candidates that are located and legally authorized to work in the United States. Starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experiences, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
