About the Role


Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Marketing Content Specialist/ Writer to join our fast-growing firm and work with our Marketing team based in Philadelphia (EST work hours). As the Marketing Content Specialist, you will support Marketing Communications in developing and delivering a range of content, creating high-visibility assets that attract new leads and engage current customers. These may include (but are not limited to) thought leadership copy (blogs, team profiles, video scripts), social media posts, newsletter copy, email marketing, conference collateral copy, advertising copy, internal and external case studies, and sales enablement tools. This position requires an eye for detail, the ability to write new content, and the ability to polish existing content into a compelling final asset.

Prior knowledge of Medicaid and healthcare is not required, but you should be comfortable interviewing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and using past content to get up to speed quickly to have a functional understanding of the subject matter. You should be able to write quickly and clearly, manage multiple project deadlines, and hone content to create compelling “one voice” documents. You will help to create and populate drafts and provide copyediting support as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support copy development for internal and external marketing communications and campaigns, including but not limited to social media, newsletters, thought leadership, email, advertising (digital and print), conferences, and case studies.
  • Help develop 1-pagers and other sales enablement tools to help open doors to new leads and future conversations, both internally and externally.
  • Interview client servicing teams and subject matter experts to garner insights to draft, review, revise, and complete compelling pieces of content that position Sellers Dorsey as a creative problem solver in the minds of decision makers across the country.
  • Participate in strategic planning to ensure content aligns with the firm’s business priorities and planned campaign activities.
  • Support the development of multimedia content, including video interviews, bringing together appropriate voices to address timely subject matter.
  • Collaborate with design experts to deliver a professional finished product.
  • Become well-versed in emerging concepts and dominant themes to ensure messaging is fresh and relevant to external audiences.
  • Educate others about the availability of content that promotes the organization and encourage their participation in distribution.
  • Contribute to other content-related activities, serving as a QC check for others, drafting, copyediting, formatting, and providing production assistance as needed.


Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a similar field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience

Compensation & Benefits 


The anticipated salary range for candidates is $50,000/year up to $66,000/year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate’s education, and the candidate’s market location. Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey’s Total Compensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual Corporate Incentive Plan (CIP) that can range to up to 6% of annual salary. 


Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, the successful candidate (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, and vision and for insurance plans offering short term disability, long term disability, and basic life. Employees are also able to enroll in Sellers Dorsey’s 401k plan provided they meet plan requirements.  Sellers Dorsey offers a Flexible Time Off that allows employees to use what they need. Additionally, we offer 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid time off for qualifying medical leave, and up to 12 weeks of combined paid parental and bonding leave. The foregoing benefits and paid time off, including an employee’s eligibility therefore, will be controlled by applicable plan documents and Sellers Dorsey policy.
