The mission of Jubilee Housing is to build diverse, compassionate communities that create opportunities for everyone to thrive. Since 1973, Jubilee has worked to provide high quality affordable housing and holistic support to individuals and families in the Adams Morgan, Mount Pleasant and Columbia Heights neighborhoods of Washington D.C. Jubilee operates more than a dozen properties totaling over 500 homes and has an active development pipeline of new affordable housing, including D.C.’s first urban aquaponics and hydroponics farm located in the basement and rooftop of one of our buildings. Position Description
Under the direction of the Senior Community Manager, the Assistant Community Manager supports and assists in all aspects of community operations. The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for assisting incoming and outcoming tenants, maintaining an active line of communication with residents, and managing the records of employees, bills, and deposits. There are also instances when the Assistant Community Manager must process payments and requests from tenants, respond to inquiries and concerns, and schedule maintenance activities. Furthermore, as an Assistant Community Manager, it is essential to perform support tasks and lead the team, all while adhering to the community's policies and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
While this role has no direct reports, the Assistant Community Manager may act in a supervisory capacity, under the direction of the Senior Community Manager. When participating in supervisory responsibilities such as planning, assigning, and directing the work of associates; appraising performance, rewarding and counseling associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems, s/he carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Jubilee Housing policies and applicable laws.
