About the Role

The Social Media Specialist will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and analysis of our social media strategy. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, this role will focus on scheduling and publishing engaging organic social media content. The Specialist will also contribute to monthly content planning and provide insightful reports on organic content performance. We're seeking an organized, creative, and data-driven individual with a passion for social media trends and driving audience engagement.


Your Key Contributions

  • Help to plan and maintain the social media calendars by scheduling and publishing posts across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube and ensure quality and accuracy of content as it’s shared. Could support TikTok publishing ad-hoc.
  • Contribute to content brainstorms and identifying new opportunities on social media to help build out social calendars and contribute to marketing goals.
  • Analyze channel & content performance to recommend data-driven optimizations for post timing, formats and captions.
  • Utilize task management system to ensure that all deliverables are met on time and with necessary approvals, especially pertaining to content planning, scheduling and posting.
  • Help marketing innovate by staying informed with latest social media trends, content formats, platform optimizations and competitor insights.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with internal team for immediate concerns, opportunities and shifts in the calendar.


What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
  • 3-6 years experience in social media management
  • Decision Quality: Makes sound day‑to‑day decisions by applying platform best practices, brand guidelines, and performance insights to execute effective social content. 
  • Collaborates: Partners with the Social Growth Manager, Creative, and Brand teams to ensure social content is aligned with campaigns, messaging, and priorities. 
  • Being Resilient: Maintains consistency and quality while managing tight deadlines, content revisions, and shifting priorities across platforms. 
  • Plans and Aligns: Organizes posting schedules, assets, and tasks to support campaign timelines and ensure execution aligns with team plans and goals. 
  • Communicates Effectively: Shares updates, flags issues, and incorporates feedback clearly to support smooth collaboration and on‑time delivery.
  • Has successfully managed social media content publishing for a business
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms and best practices
  • Ability to assist with basic copywriting and photo/video editing skills for unplanned, quick fixes
  • Experience using social media management tools for publishing and reporting (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, Buffer)
  • Foundational knowledge of social media analytics tools and KPIs


Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00AM to 5:00PM EST.

  • A modern processor (Apple M1 chip or a recent Intel Core i5)

  • At least 8 GB of memory (RAM) to run applications smoothly
  • A fast hard drive with sufficient available storage
