About the Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to build and lead quality engineering for our software products. You’ll own quality across the software delivery lifecycle, with plans to grow the function by adding a junior QA engineer you’ll help mentor and develop.

This is a hands-on role for someone experienced in both manual and automated testing who wants to shape how a team tests, not just execute test cases. We’re in the process of modernizing our test automation and development tooling, and you’ll play a key part in that evolution. You’ll help our engineers ship faster by improving how we test our products and building quality into every stage of development.

What You'll Do:

  • Own quality across the full software delivery lifecycle, from requirements review through release
  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for new features, enhancements, and existing applications
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using TestNG, and update existing automated tests as the application evolves
  • Create and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and regression suites
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define acceptance criteria and testability requirements
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, working with the development team to find root causes
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster releases
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing techniques and tools
  • Establish and promote QA best practices, standards, and processes across the team

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 3 years focused on test automation
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and maintaining automated test suites with TestNG
  • Proficiency in Java or a similar object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver
  • Solid experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured
  • Proven ability to write clear, thorough test plans, test cases, and regression suites
  • Experience working in a Microsoft-centric environment (e.g., .NET applications, Azure DevOps, SQL Server)
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience mentoring or leading other QA engineers

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary: $125,000-$150,000/year
  • Flexible vacation policy – take the time you need to recharge
  • Comprehensive health, vision & dental insurance
  • 401k with company contribution
  • Beautiful downtown Denver office with company-paid commuter benefits (parking or RTD EcoPass)
  • Opportunity for career progression with plenty of room for personal growth

What to Expect:

  • 1st Round: 30-45 minute interview with the Recruiter
  • 2nd Round: 45-minute interview with the Hiring Manager
  • 3rd Round: Pre-Interview Assessment and 2 hours of onsite interviews with the Hiring Team

Please note that we are fully onsite work environment, and require daily presence at our LoDo/Union Station (Denver) or Southpoint/Butler & 95 (Jacksonville) office. We are not considering remote, hybrid, or out-of-area candidates, and do not work with outside recruiting agencies.

MarketOnce will accept applications for this role on an ongoing basis.
