About Matter Health
Matter Health is redefining how care reaches older adults living in public housing. We bring high-quality primary and preventive care directly to where people live, building trusted relationships, removing barriers to access, and ensuring that where someone lives never determines the care they receive.
What sets us apart is our people. We are a team driven by purpose, showing up every day with urgency, empathy, and a commitment to doing what's right for the communities we serve. We're growing quickly and we need someone to own the process that brings the right people into this mission.
About the Role
The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manager owns recruiting and onboarding at Matter Health, end to end, from the moment a requisition opens to a new hire's 90th day on the job. You'll carry your own req load, orchestrate our RPO and external recruiting partners, hold hiring managers accountable to timeline and process, and personally ensure every candidate and new hire experiences the warmth and intentionality of the Matter Health brand.
This is a role for someone who loves people and loves process, and refuses to trade one for the other.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
• Lead full-cycle recruiting across clinical-adjacent and non-clinical roles
• Carry a direct requisition load while managing RPO and external firm output and quality
• Brief, align, and hold external partners accountable to timelines and standards
• Keep hiring managers engaged, on schedule, and giving timely feedback
• Own candidate communication end-to-end, responsive, warm, and on-brand at every touchpoint
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
• Own the full onboarding journey from offer acceptance through Day 90, not the paperwork, the experience
• Conduct structured 30/60/90-day check-ins with every new hire
• Partner with hiring managers on new hire integration and flag early retention risks before they become problems
• Oversee an onboarding specialist who manages pre-boarding logistics
Process & Reporting
• Maintain a real-time view of all open reqs, pipeline status, and hiring timelines. Nothing falls through the cracks.
• Track and report on metrics that matter: time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, Day 90 retention
• Build and maintain process documentation to ensure a consistent experience across all roles and markets
Qualifications
• 5 to 7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in healthcare or a similarly mission-driven environment
• Proven ability to manage external recruiting vendors or an RPO. You set standards and hold people to them.
• Strong project management instincts. You can manage ten open reqs simultaneously and know exactly where each one stands.
• Genuine love for the candidate and new hire experience. People remember working with you.
• Energized by building in a fast-moving, growth-stage organization where process doesn't yet exist and you get to create it
Why Matter Health
We believe that where someone lives should never determine the care they receive. The people you hire will go on to serve older adults who have historically been left behind by traditional healthcare. That's not a tagline. It's the work.
Total Healthcare. Where you live.
Matter Health is an equal opportunity employer.
