Clinical Psychologist - F/T


MindCare Solutions, a clinician-owned and operated leader in comprehensive mental health care, is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide exceptional mental health services in a corrections facility. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Location: Baldwin, MI

Compensation: up to $85/hr in person depending on experience

Position Summary:

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will deliver high-quality mental health care, including psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions, to individuals within a correctional setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental health and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals, ensuring care aligns with ethical and legal standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact while working in a supportive and mission-driven environment.

  • Conducts psychological evaluations of inmates/detainees/residents (I/D/R) to diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
  • Develops and implements appropriate treatment plans, including psychotherapy and counseling services.
  • Assesses suicide risk and mental health status to determine the need for higher levels of care or observation.
  • Collaborates with psychiatrists and other medical professionals for medication management and referrals.
  • Supervises and trains mental health staff; provides in-service education and crisis intervention training for correctional and medical personnel.
  • Maintains thorough documentation of services and participates in quality-of-care reviews.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Doctoral degree (PhD, Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and active license to practice Psychology in the state where services are delivered (license must be valid and verifiable).
  • One (1) year of experience in a correctional or forensic setting preferred.
  • Participation in the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PsyPact) is preferred and supports telehealth service delivery across participating states.
  • Availability to provide telehealth services remotely for up to 40 hours per week.
