About the role
- The Territory Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting sales growth, brand visibility, and customer relationships throughout assigned territories. This position provides vacation and route coverage for both on- and off-premise accounts, assists with merchandising and inventory management, executes sales and promotional initiatives, and serves as a key partner to the sales team in delivering exceptional customer service.

What you'll do
Sales & Account Support
- Conduct sales calls and present wines to on- and off-premise accounts.
- Support Sales Representatives in achieving sales goals, distribution targets, and promotional objectives.
- Provide territory coverage during vacations, PTO, transitions, and other business needs to ensure consistent service and execution.
- Assist with new product placements, promotional programs, and seasonal initiatives.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with store managers, buyers, and account staff.
- Communicate market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to the sales team.
Merchandising & Brand Execution
- Merchandise wine products in assigned accounts according to company standards.
- Build and maintain displays, shelves, cold boxes, and promotional placements.
- Ensure proper product rotation, pricing, shelf tags, and point-of-sale materials are in place.
- Maintain shelf organization, cleanliness, and overall brand presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate out-of-stock or low-inventory situations.
Inventory & Delivery Support
- Assist with order verification and inventory checks.
- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to resolve product or service issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely product placement following deliveries.
- Deliver product when necessary to support customer needs and company operations.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete daily activity reports, route documentation, and account notes.
- Utilize company systems and mobile applications for reporting, communication, and order management.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable alcoholic beverage regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, merchandising, hospitality, beverage distribution, or a related field preferred.
- Passion for wine and interest in the beverage industry.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
- Comfortable lifting and moving wine cases on a regular basis.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with mobile applications and technology used for reporting and communication.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
