About Mytra:
We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.
About the role:
As a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll develop the process, equipment, and factory that produces our bots and structures at scale. You’ll collaborate closely with our hardware engineering and system integrations teams to prototype, productionize, and deploy manufacturing solutions that help our business grow and meet the exceptional customer demand we have.
What you’ll do:
- Identify, scope, deliver, and verify various DFx projects within a manufacturing environment
- Design tools/fixtures in 3D and deploy to manufacturing lines
- Fabricate tools/fixtures from metals or polymers, using typical shop tools including but not limited to: lathes, mills, grinders, and drills
- Prepare economical analysis of DFx projects and present highly technical information to an executive audience
- Troubleshoot problems that arise during production operations, training production technicians, and occasionally supervise the flow of work to ensure it meets process specifications
- Occasionally build components alongside production technicians to ensure quality for critical operations or validate new process workflows
Ideal Candidates:
- 5+ years practical experience with various manufacturing technologies including sheet metal forming, CNC milling, electromechanical assembly, and injection molding
- Demonstrable experience with designing, deploying, testing, and maintaining the various tools/fixtures used in an electromechanical assembly process (owning the work cell)
- Software knowledge of Solidworks or OnShape for equipment design, FlexSim or similar for discrete event simulation
- You are able to lead a MODAPTS or MOST time study
- You are excited about working on an immature project, growing together, and shaping the future of the company
- You can convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience, including technicians and associates building the product
- Openness, inquisitiveness, and constant ambition are important values
Nice to have:
- Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
- Certified as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or greater
- Experience bringing a product from concept to mass-production
A Final Note:
If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we’re lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last.
