Position Summary

As Director, Artist Marketing, you will work closely with a diverse roster of artists to set up, execute and deliver industry leading, innovative marketing campaigns. You will liaise with teams in the US, UK, EU, AU and internationally to lead planning and project management, and work with the team to drive global marketing campaigns. Additional responsibilities will include budgeting, data analysis, scheduling and reporting, as well as team management.


As a Marketing Director you will be responsible for managing a team of Marketing Managers / Artist Growth Managers. You will manage cross communication with A&R, commerce, promotion, audience development, synch, brand partnership and publicity teams. You will be a point of contact with artists and management partners. You are a self-motivated strategic thinker; detail oriented and organized project manager; problem solver and a passionate marketer with the proven ability to multitask who has a desire to grow into a leading marketing role within the music industry.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end artist development efforts across various teams (Publicity, Radio, Sales, Digital Marketing, etc.) to maximize project momentum and ensure comprehensive execution of marketing plans.
  • Continuously reassess project and campaign progress using analytics, including DSP and social metrics, to identify key milestones and long-term objectives that guide team activities..
  • Develop marketing campaigns and supplementary initiatives that align with release strategies and project momentum.
  • Manage multiple project budgets to maintain financial viability; Evaluate marketing initiatives through retrospectives to gauge effectiveness, such as artist growth on social and retail platforms, as well as overall short-term and long-term profitability.
  • Coordinate and align campaigns with global marketing teams and artist representatives.
  • Analyze project milestones, interpret trends and signals, and propose actionable steps to project team members as needed.
  • Identify roadblocks and challenges with each project and engage appropriate internal staff, in particular assigned A&R representatives, to assist in proactively managing issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with external stakeholders and prioritize relationship management with brand and marketing partners.
  • Work with Community MD’s & CommEx's on researching, ideating and developing community or sub-cluster / multi-artist brand initiatives as discussed in monthly meetings.


Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the music industry, preferably within a label setting.
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong skills in marketing strategy and development, with a curiosity for exploring new platforms and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a history of making sound business decisions through strategic thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse departments and personalities.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
