Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; REE license
• At least 5 years of experience in the Solar PV industry, preferably with experience in pre-sales and technical sales.
• Strong knowledge and experience in PV system design, sizing, analysis, and technical evaluation.
• Proficient in preparing technical proposals, system designs, BOMs, energy yield analysis, and project costing.
• Good understanding of On-Grid, Hybrid, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and team management skills. -Ability to lead technical teams and provide technical guidance to sales and project teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate customer requirements into practical and technically sound solar solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: Lead the technical team in the Philippines and guide the sales and project teams on technical matters.

• Assign and review the work of the technical team, and set priorities for design and support tasks.
• Act as the final technical reviewer of designs and proposals before they are sent to customers.

Pre-Sales and Solution Design: Assess customer needs and design On-Grid, Hybrid and BESS solutions for residential and C&I projects.

• Conduct site surveys, load analysis and electricity bill reviews to determine the right system size.
• Join sales meetings and customer presentations to explain the proposed solution.

Technical Proposals and Costing: Prepare technical proposals, BOMs, energy yield analysis and project costing using the OSW product range.

• Prepare single-line diagrams, panel layouts and equipment specifications.
• Work with the sales and accounting team to align pricing, margins and payment terms.

Standards and Compliance: Ensure designs and products meet local codes and regulations, and support permit and net-metering applications.

• Keep up to date with changes to the PEC, DOE and ERC rules and distribution utility requirements.
• Prepare the technical documents needed for permits and net-metering applications.

After-Sales and Technical Escalations: Handle technical escalations, troubleshooting and warranty claims.

• Diagnose system faults remotely or on site, and coordinate repairs with partners and installers.
• Liaise with manufacturers on warranty claims and follow them through to closure.

Product Evaluation and Market Development: Evaluate new products and support OSW’s growth in the Philippines.

• Test and assess new products, and share feedback with the OSW product team.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing and market trends in the Philippines.

Training and Capability Building: Train the sales team, partners and customers, and build the local team’s technical skills.

• Conduct product and installation training for partners, installers and the sales team.
• Prepare training materials, installation guides and FAQs.

Processes, Records and Systems: Maintain technical processes and records, including the CRM, in line with OSW standards.

• Keep design files, datasheets and project documents organised and easy to access.
• Update the CRM with technical inputs on leads, opportunities and support cases.

Collaboration and Reporting: Work with the Country Manager and OSW teams, and report on technical matters and project status.

• Submit regular reports on technical activities, project status and open issues to the Country Manager.
• Coordinate with OSW regional and head office teams on product and technical matters.

Other Duties: Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Country Manager.
