About Overland AI
Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Overland AI is transforming land operations for modern defense. The company leverages over a decade of advanced research in robotics and machine learning, as well as a field-test forward ethos, to deliver combined capabilities for unit commanders. Our OverDrive autonomy stack enables ground vehicles to navigate and operate off-road in any terrain without GPS or direct operator control. Our intuitive OverWatch C2 interface provides commanders with precise coordination capabilities essential for mission success.
Overland AI has secured funding from prominent defense tech investors including 8VC and Point 72, and built trusted partnerships with DARPA, the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command. Backed by eight-figure contracts across the Department of Defense, we are strengthening national security by iterating closely with end users engaged in tactical operations.
Role Summary:
Overland AI is seeking a Content Strategist to join our Communications & Marketing (C&M) team and help shape how we tell the story of mission-ready ground autonomy. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution, with a mandate that spans social media, thought leadership, website content, and cross-functional initiatives across our team. As a Content Strategist, you will embed deeply within a highly technical, fast-moving defense technology environment. You will work closely with teammates within the C&M team—brand design, video production and editing, and product marketing—alongside other internal stakeholders—such as our software, hardware, and business development teams—to translate complex autonomy capabilities into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with end users, customers, partners, investors, and the broader public. This is a generalist role for a strong writer, editor, and strategist who can move fluidly across channels and formats. You will be responsible not only for creating high-quality content, but also for shaping messaging, improving ideas, and coordinating projects across teams to ensure consistency, clarity, and impact. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning work from early concept through final delivery and thrives in an environment where priorities evolve quickly.
