PAXAFE is a GxP cold chain decision intelligence platform that eliminates silos, ensures compliance, and empowers teams with contextual intelligence to drive towards zero waste.
Acting as the cold chain operating system for every time, temperature and value sensitive shipment in the universe, PAXAFE works with cold chain manufactures and service providers to enhance supply chain planning and intelligence, enable logistics execution, and streamline end-to-end product disposition and batch traceability as system of record.
PAXAFE is backed by venture investors (Framework Venture Partners, Ubiquity Ventures, Venture53, RoseCliff Ventures, etc.) and corporate ventures (Microsoft M12, Northwestern Mutual, Greenlight Re)
This role bridges and orchestrates the handoff between what was sold and what gets built. As Senior Solution Engineer you facilitate both sides of it.
Before the contract, you are the technical and process authority in the room. You run discovery with quality, logistics and IT stakeholders, demo the platform against the customer's real cold chain problem rather than a generic script, and shape the initial solution design that underpins the commercial proposal. After signature, you stay on. You translate that design into a delivery plan, then support where needed alongside Delivery, Product and Engineering to make it real.
That continuity is the point. You scope what you will be accountable for delivering, which means the solution design that reaches the customer is the one that survives implementation. You are the single technical thread from first discovery call through to a customer operating in production.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role in PAXAFE's Commercial Organization, working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product and Engineering.
· Discovery. Run technical and process discovery with customers across supply chain, quality, logistics, and IT, uncovering current-state workflows, data sources, systems and constraints.
· Pre-sales. Deliver tailored demonstrations mapped to the customer's own lanes, products and release process, not a standard script. Handle technical objections in the room.
· Solutioning. Own the initial solution design and solution map: which modules apply, what data is required, which integrations are in play, what is phased and what is out of scope.
· Scoping. Translate the solution design into scoped, sequenced statements of work and implementation plans. Size effort honestly, surface long-lead items and dependencies before they become commitments.
· Commercial support. Partner with Sales and the CCO on proposals and order forms, ensuring what is committed commercially is technically deliverable. Flag anything that is not.
· Delivery. Carry your own design into delivery. Lead solution workshops, guide configuration of Lane Qualification, Command Center and Automated Product Release against customer stability budgets and product profiles, and stay accountable through go-live.
· Cross-functional. Coordinate with Product, Data and Engineering to sequence deliverables, manage technical handoffs, and feed real customer patterns back into the roadmap.
· Repeatability. Build the reusable assets: reference solution designs, discovery question banks, scoping templates, and integration patterns that make the next deal faster.
· Tooling. Track work in Linear; understand customer issues in Pylon, map solutions in Figma / FigJam. Document decisions so they survive handoff.
Required
· 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles across the software sales cycle and delivery: Solution Engineer, Solution Architect, Presales Consultant, Implementation Lead, or management/technology consulting with hands-on SaaS delivery.
· Demonstrable experience on both sides of contract signature. You have scoped work in a sales cycle and then been accountable for delivering it.
· Strong supply chain and process background: an ability to map a customer's current-state process, find where it breaks, and design a workable future state rather than describing features.
· Cold chain domain knowledge: temperature-controlled logistics, lanes and lane qualification, temperature excursions, stability budgets, passive and active monitoring, product release decisions.
· Consulting-grade communication. Comfortable with a quality director, a logistics operator, an enterprise architect and a CFO, and able to write a scope document that holds up under procurement and legal review.
· Practical technical fluency: APIs, data mapping and transformation, integration patterns. You need to be credible with engineers without being one.
· Track record running multiple concurrent customer engagements with real deadlines.
Preferred
· Life sciences exposure: Pharma, biotech, CDMO, or medical devices, and familiarity with GxP-regulated and compliance-driven environments / validation expectations.
· Familiarity with the systems this role meets in the field: SAP, Oracle, TMS platforms, QMS such as Veeva Vault or TrackWise, visibility platforms, packaging providers, 4PLs and carriers, and logger ecosystems (Elpro, Sensitech, Tive, TempMate, etc.).
· Experience selling or delivering into enterprise Pharma procurement and quality organizations.
· Working knowledge of Azure, Python, Postman, Prismatic, PostgreSQL / Supabase, and JSON-based data workflows.
· Additional languages; comfort working across US and European time zones and traveling up to 25%
· High-impact mission: every project supports the safe, on-time delivery of the world's most important products, including vaccines and life-saving therapies.
· A genuinely unique remit: most companies split pre-sales and delivery and then absorb the cost of the handoff. Here you own the whole arc.
· You'll work with the world's leading life sciences companies (pharma, CDMOs, medical devices, biotech) on some of the most advanced therapies in the world.
· PAXAFE has entered an exciting growth phase, which provides for, and requires, real autonomy and leadership at every level.
· Direct visibility to the executive team, and influence over how the Commercial Organization scales.
· Cutting-edge tech: LLMs and Agentic AI | Azure | Python | Prismatic | Supabase | PostgreSQL | LavinMQ | Inngest | IoT | Linear | Figma.
· Remote-first flexibility. [CONFIRM: preferred region for this role]
· Comprehensive benefits: competitive base salary, equity participation, five weeks PTO, and full healthcare coverage.
· Create Magic: Deliver products that exceed customer expectations and solve real problems elegantly
· Own With Pride: Take ownership of outcomes and deliver with excellence
· Navigate With Intent: Make strategic decisions with clarity and purpose
· Think Deep, Act Fast: Balance thorough analysis with rapid execution
· Enjoy the Journey: Celebrate wins and maintain perspective
· X-hibit Teamwork: Collaborate across functions and support each other's success
· Tackle With Empathy: Understand customer and team needs deeply before proposing solutions
