Pen Manufacturing is growing its Division 5 miscellaneous metals construction business throughout Southern California.
Our team has deep roots in infrastructure and miscellaneous metals fabrication. Through our former sister company, ASM Industries, our organization has supported some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in the region. We understand what it takes to fabricate construction work where quality, schedule, documentation, and execution matter.
Now we're investing to build the next phase of that business at Pen.
We are looking for someone who already knows how to estimate, bid, sell, and win miscellaneous metals construction projects.
This is not a detailing role and it is not a pure sales role. You need to be able to open a set of construction drawings, understand the scope, perform the takeoff, build the estimate, submit the bid, work the relationship with the GC, negotiate the job, and help close the award.
You are not starting from zero.
Pen has an established Southern California fabrication operation, experienced engineering and production capabilities, technology enabled estimating and quoting processes, and an active pipeline of open construction quotes and opportunities ready to pursue.
We have the fabrication capabilities and infrastructure experience. What we're looking for now is a commercially minded construction professional who can help turn that platform into significant growth.
You'll have opportunities to pursue from day one while also developing relationships with general contractors and building your own pipeline.
We're looking for someone who sees an active bid pipeline and asks: How much of this can I win?
A college degree is not required. Relevant construction estimating, fabrication, and sales experience matters more.
$70,000 to $150,000 base depending on experience, plus performance based incentive compensation tied to profitable growth.
Strong performers will have significant opportunity to grow their compensation and responsibility as the Division 5 business expands.
We are not looking for someone who simply processes bid invitations and waits for the next RFQ.
We want someone who can find the opportunity, price the job, work the relationship, follow up relentlessly, and win the order.
If you've spent your career around miscellaneous metals or structural steel construction and want the opportunity to help build a significant Southern California construction business on top of an established fabrication platform, we'd like to talk.
