About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Social Media Assistant to join our Marketing team. If you have experience creating content across major digital platforms, enjoy working collaboratively to bring a brand to life online, and can confidently manage day-to-day social operations with a "let's get it done" attitude, then keep reading.

What You’ll Do

  • Content Creation & Publishing: Assist in planning, scheduling, and publishing highly engaging content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Calendar Management: Support the development and maintenance of the museum's social media content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule.
  • On-Site Content Capture: Capture exciting behind-the-scenes content, dynamic event coverage, and day-to-day museum moments for our social platforms.
  • Copywriting & Asset Organization: Assist with copywriting for captions, stories, community posts, and short-form video content, while helping organize and maintain digital asset libraries.
  • Community Management: Monitor social channels daily and assist with responding to comments, messages, and community interactions in a timely, helpful, and professional manner.
  • Analytics & Research: Track performance metrics (engagement, follower growth, reach) to compile social reports and help research emerging digital trends, creators, and influencer opportunities.
  • Event & Campaign Support: Provide hands-on on-site social media support during museum events, exhibition launches, activations, and partner collaborations.

  • A Creative Storyteller: You have an eye for details, strong copywriting skills, and a knack for turning everyday moments into engaging online narratives.
  • An Adaptable Team Player: You stay calm under pressure and can smoothly pivot when event schedules change or breaking museum news needs to be shared.
  • A Reliable Self-Starter: You manage time efficiently, anticipate content opportunities, and take initiative to keep our platforms fresh and active.
  • Professional & Hospitable: You represent the museum's voice online with enthusiasm, warmth, and consistency when interacting with our online community.

What You Bring & Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of social media, marketing, or digital content creation experience preferred (relevant internship or freelance experience will also be considered).
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, along with basic knowledge of scheduling and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written communication with strong copywriting and editing abilities.
  • Creative technical skills, with photography, video editing (CapCut, Premiere, etc.), or graphic design experience being a huge plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • A genuine passion for automotive culture, museums, entertainment, or experiential marketing is strongly preferred!

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Typical Working Conditions: This role operates primarily in a dynamic museum and office environment. It requires the flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and events as needed to provide on-site social coverage. You will spend a significant amount of time moving throughout museum galleries and event spaces to capture content, and may occasionally travel locally for specific activations.

Equipment Used: Smartphones, gimbal stabilizers, digital cameras, laptops, editing software, and standard social media publishing tools.
