About the role

Plenful is hiring an Office Manager to make our San Francisco office the kind of place people want to walk into. This person owns the day-to-day operations of the space and the experience of everyone in it — teammates, candidates, and visitors alike. You'll wear a lot of hats: part operations lead, part culture builder, part problem-solver who notices what's broken before anyone has to ask. The role is hybrid, in our San Francisco office.

What you'll own

Office Operations: Keep the physical space running — supplies, vendor relationships, facilities issues, mail, deliveries, and the dozens of small logistics that make an office function without anyone noticing the effort behind it. This may include supporting additional facility responsibilities remotely in support of our growing NYC office.

Teammate Experience: Own the moments that make coming into the office worth it: team lunches, snack and beverage stock, seating and space planning, onboarding setup for new hires, and a general pulse on what's working and what isn't. You're the person teammates go to when something in the office needs fixing or improving.

Candidate & Visitor Experience: Coordinate onsite interview logistics — room bookings, scheduling support, meals, and day-of hosting — so every candidate who walks through the door has a smooth, well-run experience. Arrive ahead of scheduled interviews to ensure rooms and materials are ready before candidates arrive. Partner with recruiting and hiring managers to keep this consistent as hiring scales.

Events & Culture: Plan and execute in-office events, offsite, and team celebrations. Bring ideas for how to build culture in a hybrid environment where not everyone is in the office every day.

Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with office vendors (cleaning, snacks, supplies, repairs) and own a budget for office spend — tracking costs and finding better options as the team grows.

The Undefined Stuff: This role will pick up whatever doesn't have an obvious home yet — special projects for leadership, ad hoc support for People/Recruiting, or anything that needs a hands-on owner. If you like a role that's still being defined, this is it.

What success looks like

  • The office runs smoothly day to day, with issues resolved before they become team-wide complaints.
  • Teammates feel the office is a place worth showing up to, not just a requirement.
  • Candidates consistently report a well-organized, welcoming interview experience.
  • Vendor relationships and office budget are managed proactively, not reactively.
  • You spot problems and opportunities before being asked, and bring solutions, not just observations.

Ideal background

Must Have

  • 2+ years in an office management, workplace experience, or administrative operations role.
  • Track record of managing multiple priorities and vendors simultaneously without things falling through the cracks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity — this role will grow and shift as the company scales.
  • Experience with Google Workspace or similar collaboration tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
  • Experience supporting recruiting or candidate logistics.
  • Experience with event planning or culture-building initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries.

Plenful perks

  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy unlimited PTO, fully covered health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), meal stipend, health & wellness stipend, 401(k) matching, and stock options.
  • Mission-Driven, World-Class Team: Join an exceptional group of professionals aligned around a meaningful mission and committed to making an impact.
  • Opportunities for Growth: Strengthen your partnership expertise through collaboration with experienced, high-performing leaders across the organization.
  • Flexible Hybrid Work Environment: This position is based out of our downtown San Francisco office 3 days a week, with Mondays and Wednesdays as anchor days when the broader team is in office.
