Business Development Executive - Education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
About QBS:

Our mission-driven, high-impact team supports more than 250,000 certified professionals nationwide, helping organizations create safer environments for staff and the individuals they serve.
Position Summary
You’ve seen it firsthand. Schools, hospitals, and human services agencies across the country have a crisis problem. Staff get hurt. Kids and patients get restrained when they don’t need to be. Safety-Care fixes that, and more than 250,000 certified professionals already use it. Your job is to find the organizations that need it, win them, and put your name on the number
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll own a territory end to end. You find the opportunity, run the deal, and close it. You’ll learn each account inside and out: who makes decisions, how budgets work, and when contracts are up. Then you’ll turn those relationships into real opportunities and new business. Prospecting, discovery, presenting, negotiating, closing. The result is yours, and everyone will see it.
No sales background required. BCBAs, special education teachers, paraprofessionals, behavior specialists, school administrators, and staff trainers bring something we can’t teach: credibility with the people we serve. We’ll teach you the rest.
What You'll Do:
- Own a named list of accounts and keep every one of them on an active cadence
- Map who buys, how budgets and funding work, and when contracts renew
- Create qualified opportunities from your list, building a pipeline months ahead
- Run discovery that uncovers the full need, so deals grow beyond the first request
- Take inbound leads and BDR handoffs from your accounts to a clear decision
- Build proposals and pricing for your deals
- Stay in touch with longer-term and closed-lost accounts, so the next opportunity is already in motion
- Keep HubSpot current (we run on real data, not vibes)
Who Wins Here:
People who care about the outcome and are willing to work for it. You’ve seen what happens when staff aren’t prepared, and you want to be the one who fixes it. You’re organized, curious, and persistent. You’d rather earn trust over time than chase a quick win. If you’ve pushed through something hard before, we want to talk.
You'll love this job if:
- You want your numbers to mean something. These do: safer schools, fewer injuries, better outcomes for kids, patients and staff.
- You like a challenge and go looking for the next one.
- You like owning your week, your accounts and your results.
- You’d rather figure it out than be handed a script.
- You enjoy building relationships and earning trust, even when a decision takes months.
- Feedback lands fast, and getting back up happens faster. A lost deal just makes you hungrier for the next one.
You won’t love it if you want a slow ramp, a predictable routine, or a manager who checks your work daily.
Why onsite?
You’ll sell shoulder to shoulder with the team in Foxboro five days a week. You’ll hear every call, pick up every good move, and ramp in weeks instead of months. Speed is the point.
What Success Looks Like:
- You hit or exceed your annual New Business quota, and you know exactly where you stand against it every week.
- Every inbound lead gets a response within 24 hours and a clear next step.
- Every account on your list has an active cadence, a mapped buying committee, and documented contract timing and budget.
- A steady flow of qualified opportunities, many with decision dates months out.
- Deals that grow through discovery, ending larger than the first request.
- Every handoff and inbound lead taken to a clear decision.
- A pipeline that stays alive long-term, so next year starts strong.
- Results driven by QBS’s core values: Find a Way, Do the Right Thing, Love the Mission, and Show You Care.
Qualifications:
- Direct experience working in K-12 education, healthcare, or human services (required)
- Full-cycle sales experience is a plus, but not required
- Working knowledge of how districts or similar organizations fund and buy programs
- Self-directed and organized, comfortable planning your own week and protecting time for outreach
- Curious and consultative, asks good questions before offering solutions
- Coachable and eager to learn a structured sales process
- Resilient through rejection and long decision timelines
- Passion for mission-driven work and the people our customers serve
Benefits:
- Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
- Retirement Plan (401k) with company match
- Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
- Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
- Training & Professional Development
Compensation:
- $60,000 base + commission depending on experience ($70,000-$85,000 OTE)
