Associate Director, Digital Marketing

This is a full-time, remote position with an estimated start date of ASAP, and a contract end date of November 30, 2026.

About Relentless

Relentless designs and executes scaled relational organizing programs using our in-house software, Rally. We build programs and technology that unlock the political power of the relationships people already have — reaching voters where they are and tapping the full potential of existing networks. Relentless has powered programs for campaigns, PACs, and organizations across the country, proving that relational organizing works at scale.

About the Program

We're launching a large-scale recruitment program for the 2026 elections: identifying and signing up a massive universe of low-turnout voters to get paid to participate in voter education classes. Our job is to move a lot of people from "never heard of this" to "signed up and showing up" — efficiently, and at volume.

This isn't theoretical. Our relational model has been validated in independent randomized controlled trials showing a real, statistically significant lift in turnout among exactly the kind of low-propensity voters most programs write off.

About the Role

This is the internal owner of digital acquisition for Relentless programs. You'll build and run the entire funnel that turns ad impressions into sign-ups: paid media, organic and search presence, the application experience, and everything that makes it convert.

We're looking for a digital marketer's digital marketer – someone fluent in the technical craft of online acquisition. We've run digital programs before, but we've leaned on vendors for the parts we couldn't do ourselves, and we've felt the difference between managing a vendor and deferring to one. We want to bring that expertise in-house. You'll be the sharpest person in the room on this, set the strategy, and hold our vendors accountable to performance.

You do not need a political background. We want serious digital marketing expertise brought to a political mission, and we'll teach you everything you need to know about the politics.

What You'll Do

  • Own digital acquisition strategy and execution end-to-end for the Texas recruitment program — paid media, organic/SEO, and the full conversion funnel
  • Build and optimize the recruitment funnel: landing pages, our online application form, tracking pixels, conversion/event tracking, and ongoing A/B testing to drive down cost per sign-up
  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and other platforms — managing targeting, creative, and budget pacing
  • Build and own our organic digital presence and SEO so the program is discoverable, credible, and findable
  • Manage digital ad and marketing vendors as a knowledgeable client: set the brief, interrogate their recommendations, and hold them to measurable results
  • Set creative direction and build content calendars; write clear creative briefs, give structured feedback, and produce creative where needed
  • Track and report on cost per acquisition, conversion rates, and funnel performance, in partnership with our data team
  • Manage other vendor relationships as needed
  • Collaborate with our partnerships, SMS outreach, and data teams to align all recruitment activity
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What You Bring

3–5 years of digital, growth, or performance marketing experience, with the ability to operate independently and run multiple workstreams at once.

  • Hands-on experience managing paid digital advertising across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, and other platforms
  • Real conversion-optimization chops: setting up and reading tracking pixels and attribution, optimizing landing pages and forms for conversion, and running A/B tests
  • Working knowledge of SEO and building an organic digital presence from the ground up
  • Strong grasp of analytics – tracking, attribution, and performance reporting
  • A creative sensibility: you can shape, brief, and/or produce compelling ad and landing-page creative
  • Comfort owning vendor relationships and being the in-house expert who manages them, not the other way around
  • Bonus: experience with high-volume lead generation or audience acquisition
  • Political or campaign experience is not required

We encourage candidates who don't meet every listed qualification to apply. We recognize that no candidate is a perfect match, and we value potential as much as experience.
