About the role

We are seeking to hire a full-time Early Childhood Coordinator. The Early Childhood Coordinator would work under our Children’s Pastor to create an incredible Children’s Ministry program that trains the next generation to follow Jesus. We are looking for a gifted leader who is passionate about children and discipleship. We are in need of an effective leader that can oversee many details with relative ease. This position will oversee the early childhood classrooms on Sunday mornings (ages 0-4) along with the check in area.

This position is full-time, working 40 hours a week onsite at the Blaine Location with Sunday work requirements. The salary for this role is $52,000.

What you'll do

Oversee Sunday Morning Classrooms for Ages 0-4

• Meet regularly with volunteer Ministry Leaders to provide task agendas, report strengths and weaknesses, hold accountable to responsibilities, and also to better develop personal leadership
• Work alongside Ministry Leaders to recruit and train volunteers for the classrooms of children ages 0-4
• Increase volunteer culture with better training, appreciation initiatives, and casting a team mentality
• Observe classrooms and give appropriate feedback to volunteers

Lesson Development Oversight

• Work alongside volunteers to manage the weekly curriculum and supplies in the classrooms for ages 0-4
• Critique effectiveness of lesson plans and worship in classrooms, make adjustments as necessary to increase in effectiveness

Oversee Renovation Kids Check-In

• Oversee the Ministry Leader as well as check-in and coordinator volunteers on Sunday mornings
• Ensure Renovation Kids check-In system is working properly each Sunday as well as set up correctly for extra Renovation Kids events
• Create and activate ways for the new family experience to be incredibly great at Renovation Kids check-in

Report Directly to the Children’s Pastor

• Meet regularly with the Children’s Pastor to report strengths and weaknesses of the ministry, to be held accountable for job responsibilities, and also to better develop personal leadership
• Attend monthly staff meetings

• Must be a reliable self-starter, delegator, natural leader, and team player
• Ability to see refinements needed and activate changes

Physical Requirements

• Ability to navigate church or facility buildings, often including steps
• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and bending
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for extended periods of time
