Position Summary:


Revolution Space is currently seeking a results-oriented Sr. Contracts Manager to join our team. You will provide the oversight and evaluation of proposals, monitoring major contracts, recommending, and implementing new solutions to achieve functional objectives, be a critical asset in key negotiations, ability to resolve multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues as they arise, resolve performance issues, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies, ensure compliance with Revolution Space policies, and developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships.


Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently.  Must be a consummate team player, routinely interacting with programs, contracts, procurement, finance, project control, legal counsel.  Proactively engage with Government contracting counterparts in order to be responsive to customer requirements. 


This role is remote, with up to 25% travel.


Responsibilities:

  • Sr. Contracts Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Revolution Space contracts’ portfolio, including supporting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • This role partners with the Executive Leadership, Program Managers and cross functional organization to optimize program / contract performance to ensure customer satisfaction in support of the business’s goals and strategic plan
  • Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts
  • Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues
  • Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on terms and conditions
  • Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification, and all other potential risk areas and recommending risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure Company proposals are fully responsive to customer requirements, coordinate appropriate levels of internal review for approval prior to submission
  • Manage proposal fact-finding and conduct negotiations with customer with support from the program team
  • Collaborate with other functional groups (finance, supply chain, mission assurance, legal, etc.) during all phases of the contract lifecycle
  • Work under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure Company compliance with contract requirements
  • Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters
  • Duties may also include the preparation and maintenance of proprietary information agreements, memorandum of understanding and other types of agreements
  • Maintaining contract data into Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System
  • The ideal candidates are team players who can provide clear direction and guidance to Prime customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensures contract compliance with FAR, DFAR, and other DoD agency regulations

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BA degree plus 12 or more years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree or Juris Doctor degree plus 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have in depth knowledge of Government regulations (FAR / DFARS) and all contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials (T&M), Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), and General Service Administration (GSA) type contracts. Hands-on experience with Other Transaction (OT) efforts is also expected.
  • Candidate should have commercial contracts experience on the selling side of contracts management.
  • Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound business decisions, handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time, and work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • The Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • The Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills to include well developed analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate contract risks as well as coordinate appropriate reviews in accordance with Leidos policy and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, and reconciling issues or differences
  • Local travel may be required. The candidate must be willing to travel to engage in key internal and external meetings.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contract requirements


 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration or a related field 
  • Certification in Contracts Management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, or similar)
