Position:  Sr. Marketing Associate
Corporate Office:  San Ramon, California 
Relocation Assistance:  No (Local Candidates Are Encouraged to Apply and Will Be Given Preference)

Application Screening Process:  As part of the initial screening process, selected applicants will be required to complete a 3-minute introductory video assessment and a series of questionnaires designed to evaluate their qualifications, experience, and alignment with the requirements of the position. Completion of both components is required for further consideration in the recruitment process.
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000. The successful candidate's starting base will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the base range for this role.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and lead generation
  • Collaborate with Application Scientists, engineering, and sales teams to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling marketing content
  • Develop and manage marketing materials, including application notes, case studies, white papers, presentations, and product collateral
  • Manage digital marketing efforts, including website updates, email campaigns, and social media content
  • Support product marketing initiatives, including product positioning, messaging, and launches
  • Plan and coordinate participation in trade shows, conferences, and customer events, including logistics, materials, and follow-up activities
  • Generate and track marketing leads, supporting sales pipeline development and customer engagement efforts
  • Manage and maintain marketing systems, including HubSpot (or CRM), to support lead tracking, campaign execution, and performance reporting
  • Maintain and update marketing content and assets to ensure accuracy and alignment with current offerings
  • Conduct market and competitive research to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with external vendors, designers, and agencies as needed to support marketing initiatives
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a technical, scientific, or B2B environment
  • Experience developing marketing content such as product collateral, presentations, or digital content
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms, including website content management and email marketing systems
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) for lead tracking and campaign execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, effective messaging
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in scientific instrumentation, life sciences, or a related technical industry
  • Familiarity working with engineering or Application Scientist teams to develop technical content
  • Experience creating application notes, white papers, or other technical marketing materials
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or similar CRM), including campaign workflows and reporting
  • Experience supporting product marketing initiatives, including product launches and positioning
  • Experience coordinating trade shows, conferences, or customer-facing events
  • Basic understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics or marketing dashboards) for performance tracking
  • Experience working in a small or mid-sized company with cross-functional responsibilities

Physical Requirements

  • This position is based onsite and requires regular presence in the office environment
  • Primarily operates in an office setting with frequent use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing computer-based and administrative tasks
  • Ability to move throughout the office to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and Application Scientists
  • Occasional lifting and transport of marketing materials, event supplies, or packages (up to 20–25 pounds)
  • May require periodic travel to trade shows, conferences, and customer events, including the ability to stand for extended periods and manage event setup materials
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external partners
