Accounting Associate
About the role
Rising Tide Dental Partners supports a growing group of dental practices across the United States. We're hiring a remote Accounting Associate on a contract basis to join our US accounting team from the Philippines. You'll handle recurring monthly tasks that keep our books accurate and our doctors and employees paid and supported on time. This is a steady, long-term role for someone who is organized and likes working with numbers.
• Type: Independent contractor, full-time hours
• Pay: $1,300 USD per month
• Location: Remote, Philippines
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm US Eastern Time (night shift in the Philippines)
What you'll do
• Sales tax: Calculate sales tax for practices in several US states using our monthly sales reports. Prepare the amounts owed and track due dates so nothing is filed late.
• Doctor pay: Calculate each doctor's pay from production reports, following the terms in their contract. Double-check your numbers and prepare a summary for review before payroll.
• Accounts receivable: Each month, compare patient and insurance balances in our reports to the general ledger. Find and explain any differences.
• Accounts payable: Process vendor invoices and code each one to the correct account and practice location. Match invoices to supporting documents and help prepare payments so vendors are paid accurately and on time.
• Credit card coding: Review company credit card transactions and assign each one to the right account and practice location.
• Receipts: Keep a list of missing receipts, send friendly reminders to employees, and let managers know about receipts that are still missing after follow-up.
• Office communication: Reach out to our dental offices about variances and missing items, such as unexplained differences, missing invoices or missing documents, and follow up until they're resolved.
• Other tasks: Help with month-end close, update spreadsheets, and take on other accounting tasks as needed.
What we're looking for
• 2+ years of accounting/AR/AP/bookkeeping experience
• Basic knowledge of accounts payable
• Basic knowledge of the general ledger and journal entries
• Strong Excel skills
• Careful with numbers and details
• Clear written and spoken English
• Reliable computer and internet connection
Nice to have: experience with US clients, Sage Intacct, and dental or medical offices.
