Summary
The Engineering Manager will lead the development and maintenance of the technology infrastructure, systems, and software applications. This role also leads and develops a team of Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

·         Lead and mentor the software engineering team, fostering collaboration and innovation.

·         Set clear goals and expectations for the team and provide guidance and support in achieving those objectives.

·         Develop and implement a technology strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and industry best practices.

·         Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and systems that support operations, trading, risk management, portfolio management, and compliance functions.

·         Manage the company’s technology infrastructure, including data centers, cloud services, and networking, to ensure high availability and performance.

·         Ensure that technology systems and applications meet security and compliance requirements, including data protection and access control.

·         Lead the company’s exploration of artificial intelligence as a strategic capability, identifying responsible use cases that support thoughtful innovation, informed decision-making, and operational effectiveness.

·         Collaborate with the compliance and IT teams to address technology-related concerns.

·         Lead technology projects from inception to completion, managing resources, budgets, and timelines.

·         Translate business and technical requirements into clear engineering objectives.

·         Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and performance.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; master’s degree preferred.

·         7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.

·         Experience managing and scaling engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.

·         Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, modern development stacks, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).

·         Ability to lead complex projects from concept through delivery, balancing technical excellence with business needs.

·         Knowledge of financial industry technology, including trading systems and data analytics tools.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Compensation Range
$160,000 – $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Final compensation will reflect alignment with the Firm’s compensation structure and budget for the role.
