Business Development Analyst

About the Role

The Business Development Analyst supports revenue growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, analyzing market trends, supporting client engagement efforts, and helping drive strategic partnerships. This role works closely with Account Executives and leadership to develop sales strategies, maintain pipeline visibility, and improve business development processes. 

The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-oriented, and eager to learn the cybersecurity landscape and interested in growing into an Account Executive role over time.


What you'll do

  • Perform business development activities including strategic outreach, discovery/scoping calls, follow-up communication, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Identify, pursue, and manage new business opportunities and client relationships
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support and strengthen their cybersecurity programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and strategic partners to drive successful client outcomes
  • Manage and maintain the sales pipeline and workflow through Salesforce CRM
  • Support marketing initiatives and other growth-focused projects across the organization
  • Develop quotes and  proposals for prospective opportunities
  • Research market trends, industry developments, and competitive insights to support business strategy
  • Continuously develop sales, communication, and technical consultative skills to provide increasing value to clients and Soteria

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales support, account management, or related role preferred 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Interest in cybersecurity, technology, and consultative sales
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire for professional growth and development
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms preferred
