The Team You Will Join

You’ll be part of the Curriculum Development team, working closely with instructional designers, editors, media specialists, and product and engineering partners. This team is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, standards-aligned digital learning experiences for K–12 students.

The team culture is collaborative, innovative, and quality-driven, with opportunities to build new courses, improve existing content, and shape how curriculum is developed using modern tools and AI-assisted workflows.

You’ll help design and develop curriculum that supports student mastery, aligns to standards, and reflects best practices in instruction and assessment. Your contributions will play a key role in improving student outcomes while advancing how StrongMind leverages technology and AI to scale high-quality content.

A Typical Day Looks Like

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

• Design and develop standards-aligned online and blended curriculum for K–12 students in one or more core subject areas, including English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
• Build curriculum maps and instructional plans using backward design to align standards, learning objectives, instruction, and assessments.
• Create engaging instructional content, learning activities, formative assessments, and summative assessments that support student mastery.
• Conduct standards alignment reviews, crosswalks, and gap analyses to ensure consistency, rigor, and instructional quality.
• Collaborate with editors, instructional designers, media teams, product managers, and engineers to develop and refine digital learning experiences.
• Apply accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and inclusive design best practices throughout curriculum development.
• Use Course Builder and other AI-enabled tools to accelerate curriculum development while validating content for instructional quality, accuracy, accessibility, and alignment.
• Analyze educator feedback and student performance data to continuously improve course content and learning experiences.

This role balances independent work, collaboration, strategic thinking, and execution and is well-suited for someone who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences, solving instructional challenges, and continuously improving curriculum.

Your Expertise Includes

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Expertise in K–5 curriculum design and development, with the ability to support future projects across Grades 6–12.
• Strong content knowledge in one or more core subject areas, including English Language Arts, Math, Science, and/or Social Studies.
• Experience designing standards-aligned curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments.
• Strong writing, editing, and revision skills with exceptional attention to instructional quality and clarity.
• Experience using backward design to develop engaging learning experiences that align standards, objectives, instruction, and assessment.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Comfort learning and utilizing AI-enabled curriculum development tools while exercising strong professional judgment to ensure instructional integrity.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Two or more years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, educational publishing, or a related field.

Bonus points if you also have:

• Experience developing digital curriculum, online learning experiences, or educational publishing content.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), assessment design principles, and inclusive instructional practices.
