About the Role

This is a hands-on, high-impact position responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty equipment and machinery. You’ll be a key part of keeping operations running smoothly and minimizing downtime across the facility.


Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Diagnostics

  • Conduct detailed inspections on heavy-duty machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake adjustments, and fluid replacements
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Records & Communication

  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance work
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors on equipment status
  • Provide updates on repair progress and timelines

Team & Safety

  • Work collaboratively with other mechanics and technicians
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safety-first mindset
  • Keep a clean, organized, and professional work area

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with industry trends and heavy equipment technology
  • Contribute ideas to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes


What We’re Looking For

We want someone who doesn’t just fix problems—but owns them.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of heavy-duty equipment repair experience
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Valid driver’s license

Assets

  • Heavy-duty mechanic certification (preferred)
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience
