Job Summary

T2 Tech Group is seeking a senior Laboratory Systems Implementation Project Manager and Scrum Master to lead a complex, multi-platform transformation for an advanced academic and research laboratory. The program includes implementation of Oracle Health PathNet AP, Oracle Health Lab Sequence, and Sectra Digital Pathology, together with integrations that support emerging artificial intelligence tools for laboratory reporting.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced laboratory technology professional who can translate strategic direction into an executable program, operate effectively through ambiguity, and drive decisions across laboratory leadership, faculty, technical teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine disciplined program and project management with practical Agile leadership, adapting Scrum, Kanban, and iterative delivery practices to Oracle's implementation methodology, contractual milestones, regulatory requirements, and vendor dependencies.

The role requires more than facilitation. This leader will establish the integrated plan, create the delivery structure, map current and future-state laboratory workflows, define net-new operating processes, surface risks and decisions early, and maintain accountability through implementation, validation, go-live, and stabilization.

Program Scope

·        Oracle Health PathNet AP implementation to replace Cerner CoPath before its end of support at the end of 2027.

·        Oracle Health Lab Sequence implementation as the molecular and genetics LIMS, including transformation of workflows that currently rely on a limited CoPath implementation and extensive spreadsheet-based data management.

·        Sectra Digital Pathology implementation and integration as the imaging management platform supporting pathology workflows.

·        Integration for internally developed AI-enabled laboratory reporting tools across the new laboratory systems ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

·        Own end-to-end program delivery from initiation and discovery through design, build, integration, validation, deployment, go-live, stabilization, and transition to operational support.

·        Translate strategic objectives and high-level guidance into an integrated roadmap, work breakdown structure, delivery plan, governance model, resource plan, and tactical execution strategy.

·        Lead the implementation and coordinate dependencies across Oracle Health PathNet AP, Oracle Health Lab Sequence, Sectra Digital Pathology, interfaces, infrastructure, data migration, reporting, AI capabilities, and downstream systems.

·        Establish and maintain an integrated master schedule that aligns laboratory readiness, Oracle implementation activities, vendor deliverables, testing cycles, regulatory and validation requirements, training, cutover, and go-live milestones.

·        Adapt Agile practices to Oracle's implementation methodology and vendor-led delivery model; facilitate the ceremonies and working sessions that improve transparency, decision velocity, accountability, and incremental progress.

·        Partner with laboratory leadership, faculty, pathologists, medical directors and genetic counselors, operational staff, informatics teams, and technical stakeholders to document current-state workflows and design safe, efficient future-state workflows.

·        Facilitate requirements, workflow, solution-design, prioritization, backlog, and decision-making sessions; ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are complete, traceable, testable, and aligned to clinical and research needs.

·        Drive interface and integration planning across PathNet AP, Lab Sequence, Sectra, instruments, enterprise systems, data platforms, and internally developed AI reporting tools.

·        Coordinate data conversion and migration strategy, data quality remediation, archival and retention planning, reconciliation, and business ownership of legacy CoPath and spreadsheet-based data.

·        Manage scope, budget, resources, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, change control, and vendor performance; escalate with clear options and recommendations.

·        Develop executive-level status reporting and provide concise, candid communication on progress, outcomes, critical path, financial performance, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions required.

·        Navigate a complex and highly political stakeholder environment, build trust across groups with competing priorities, and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority.

·        Plan and lead organizational readiness, communications, training, adoption, cutover, command-center, and stabilization activities so new technology and workflows are sustained after go-live.

·        Coach team members and stakeholders in fit-for-purpose Agile and Lean practices while maintaining the rigor required for laboratory, patient-safety, quality, security, privacy, and governance obligations.

Requirements

·        Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

·        8+ years of progressively responsible healthcare IT project or program management experience, including leadership of complex, multi-vendor implementations.

·        Demonstrated end-to-end leadership of at least one laboratory information system or LIMS implementation through go-live and stabilization.

·        Working knowledge of Oracle Health PathNet AP and the anatomic pathology capabilities, workflows, integrations, and implementation considerations it supports.

·        familiarity with laboratory operations and workflows, including experience partnering with laboratory leadership, faculty, pathologists, scientists, informaticists, and operational teams.

·        Proven ability to map current-state workflows, facilitate future-state design, and create net-new processes, controls, roles, and governance for laboratories adopting a full LIMS.

·        Experience translating ambiguous strategic direction into a practical plan and independently driving tactical execution, decisions, and follow-through.

·        Strong command of project and program management disciplines, including integrated planning, financial management, risk and issue management, change control, quality management, vendor management, and executive governance.

·        Hands-on experience applying Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile approaches within a structured enterprise or vendor implementation methodology.

·        Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills, including the judgment and composure to work effectively with challenging stakeholders in a highly political environment.

·        Ability to manage multiple interconnected workstreams, balance competing priorities, and maintain momentum in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.

·        Experience with healthcare privacy, security, regulatory, validation, and patient-safety considerations relevant to laboratory technology implementations.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Direct experience implementing Oracle Health PathNet AP, Oracle Health Lab Sequence, Cerner CoPath replacement, or comparable anatomic pathology and molecular/genetics platforms.

·        Experience implementing or integrating Sectra Digital Pathology or another enterprise digital pathology imaging platform.

·        Experience supporting academic medical centers, research laboratories, molecular/genetics laboratories, or other highly complex laboratory environments.

·        Experience integrating laboratory systems with AI-assisted reporting, clinical decision support, data science, or advanced analytics tools.

·        Knowledge of laboratory instruments, interface engines, HL7, FHIR, DICOM, APIs, and related healthcare interoperability patterns.

·        Experience with Jira, , Microsoft Project, or comparable planning and Agile delivery tools.

·        PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, or comparable project and Agile certification.

·        Healthcare consulting or large-scale digital transformation experience.
