About the role

The role centres on strengthening the market presence of our brands and events, working closely with the wider marketing and communities team, to drive registrations, lists/award entries, and subscription growth. It also includes responsibility for generating top-of-funnel sales leads. A key part of this role is hands-on, daily execution across email marketing, social media, and paid advertising—building, scheduling, optimising, and reporting on campaigns across these channels. Success in this role requires a proactive, organised, and target-driven approach; someone who can work independently, take initiative, and keep multiple workstreams moving without waiting for direction. You’ll work cross-functionally day-to-day with Editorial, Data/Analytics, Event Operations, Customer Success, and Content teams to plan campaigns, build assets, align messaging, support delivery, and report performance.

We’re seeking someone with experience in events and subscription marketing, a sharp eye for detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders. You’ll be joining a fun, supportive, and hardworking global marketing team where creativity is encouraged and ideas are welcomed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure across all areas and levels of the business, offering strong potential for career progression within the company.

What you'll do

What success looks like: You take ownership, move quickly from idea to execution, proactively remove blockers, and keep stakeholders aligned, without needing day-to-day supervision.

  • Own campaigns and event marketing activity end-to-end (from brief to execution and reporting), using initiative to keep delivery moving and priorities on track
  • Plan and execute integrated campaigns daily across email marketing, social media and paid advertising (alongside website, print and events) to drive awareness, engagement and conversions
  • Manage and grow our social channels (including LinkedIn and X), with daily posting/scheduling, community management, and paid social (PPC) optimisation
  • Own day-to-day email marketing: build and send campaigns, manage lists/segmentation, run A/B tests, and optimise performance (opens, clicks, conversions)
  • Manage paid advertising activity day-to-day (search/display/paid social as relevant): set up campaigns, monitor spend, optimise targeting/creative, and report on CPA/CPR and lead quality
  • Proven ability to craft compelling content for integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, print and email channels
  • Ensuring content is current, accurate and relevant across websites and event collateral
  • Proactively identify risks and blockers (creative, data, systems, approvals) and drive solutions, following up with stakeholders to keep timelines and outputs moving
  • Closely monitor and report registrations, subscriptions and leads versus target on all events and media products, updating central sheets to ensure accurate financial reporting at group level
  • Support the sales pipeline with highly qualified, sales ready leads for events and media
  • Monitor customer metrics (sales, revenue, opens, clicks, CPR, CPA etc.) and create a robust testing and rollout plan, underpinning the effectiveness of all campaign activity
  • Take a data-driven approach to customising marketing assets and campaigns across the portfolio
  • Use market intelligence and customer insight and analysis to increase understanding of our audiences and effectiveness of our campaigns
  • Manage, review and feedback on reporting and performance metrics
  • Partner closely with Editorial, Content, Data/Analytics, Event Operations and Customer Success to coordinate timelines, source inputs, build campaign assets, support event delivery, and ensure accurate performance reporting
  • Work with the design department to develop the look and feel of events and the brand
  • Manage event onsite collateral and presentations, ensuring all details are correct and within brand guidelines
  • Manage social media, interviews, video at events as well as support the wider team onsite
  • Contribute to overall knowledge and expertise within the wider marketing team
