About the role

The Senior UX Designer contributes to UX and UI design on the e-commerce platform of our client, a major Silicon Valley tech company. The Senior UX Designer translates complex transactional consumer flows into intuitive user experiences and is proficient is designing for responsive web and native iOS applications.

Responsibilities

• Create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, user flows, information architecture, UI designs, and UX documentation.
• Iterate design based on feedback and in collaboration with internal team and external stakeholders.
• Design consumer-facing experiences, publishing tools, and call center support tools across responsive web (desktop and mobile), native iOS applications and native Mac applications leveraging established design systems and patterns while identifying opportunities for thoughtful improvements.
• Contribute to projects by understanding business goals, platform requirements, established patterns, and project constraints.
• Develop design solutions considering engineering constraints, accessibility, localization, platform consistency, project requirements, and timelines.
• Tailor presentation to different audiences to explain design rational behind proposed solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, project managers, and other design team members throughout the project lifecycle, following direction from Design leadership.
• The platform is in 40 countries so the designer will need to develop experiences relevant to specific countries around the world.
• All designs need to be done to the highest standards of design for usability and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX or product design experience with eCommerce and transactional experience preferred, either consumer-facing or internal tooling.
• Experience designing for both web (desktop and mobile) and native iOS applications.
• Deep understanding and practice of design process (discovery, design, delivery, testing).
• Expertise creating user flows, IAs, high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes and UX documentation.
• Expertise working with enterprise-level design systems and reusable components.
• Experience with Sketch and Figma.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design rationale clearly to the project team.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to identify and communicate risks, dependencies, blockers, and recommendations to the project team.
• Agency experience, or experience working within an “agency within an enterprise,” is a plus.

The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
