About the role

Verndale is seeking an experienced Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) consultant for a focused assessment supporting a higher-education client’s digital experience modernization initiative. Working with Verndale’s Analytics Practice, you will review the client’s existing analytics setup, evaluate how digital data is collected and structured, and provide clear recommendations to support future measurement and personalization decisions.

This is a short-term, assessment-focused contract. The engagement is about understanding the current state and recommending next steps

Engagement length: Approximately 6–8 weeks

Estimated effort: Approximately 45–55 total hours

Workload: Expected to be front-loaded during the first 2–3 weeks, then taper to limited, flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Review the client’s Adobe CJA configuration and understand how data enters the platform and is organized for analysis.
  • Evaluate whether the current setup and collected data align with the client’s measurement expectations and relevant best practices.
  • Review relevant Adobe Launch tracking and data-collection components, as well as any Tealium dependencies that affect the analytics environment.
  • Identify strengths, data-quality concerns, and gaps in tracking—for example, where important pages, buttons, or forms may not be measured.
  • Document the current state and turn technical findings into clear, prioritized recommendations, including what should be retained, improved, or investigated further.
  • Help stakeholders understand the readiness of the measurement foundation and how to protect it as the client modernizes its digital experience.
  • Present findings to the client alongside Verndale team members.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), including the ability to assess an existing implementation independently.
  • A clear, methodical approach to reviewing platform configuration, data collection, data structure, and reporting— and the ability to explain what you check and why.
  • Strong knowledge of how digital analytics data is collected, organized, and used to understand customer journeys.
  • The ability to identify tracking gaps and data issues, validate findings, and recommend practical next steps.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • The ability to contribute with minimal onboarding and work within a defined consulting scope and hour budget.
  • Adobe CJA certification.
  • Familiarity with Tealium or other tag-management platforms. (Preferred)
