Position Overview
Delos Insurance Solutions is seeking a Senior Insurance Reporting Analyst to own and execute critical insurance reporting and reconciliation processes across all Delos programs. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Operations, and Compliance and is essential to maintaining accurate, timely, and audit-ready insurance data.
This position requires prior insurance reporting or insurance finance experience and the ability to operate with a high degree of independence. The successful candidate will not only produce reporting outputs, but also proactively identify data issues, improve processes, and help scale reporting infrastructure as the business grows.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with meaningful ownership and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Reporting & Data Ownership
- Own the preparation, review, and delivery of written, earned, and paid bordereaux for carriers, reinsurers, TPAs, and brokers.
- Validate policy, premium, commission, and fee data across systems prior to submission.
- Manage reporting calendars, deadlines, and confirmations of delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for reporting accuracy and completeness.
Reconciliations & Financial Integrity
- Perform regular reconciliations between PAS data, payment platforms (e.g., lockbox, Stripe), bank activity, and accounting records.
- Investigate discrepancies, determine root causes, and coordinate resolution with Finance and Operations.
- Maintain clear, well-organized reconciliation support suitable for audit and management review.
Compliance, Regulatory & Audit Support
- Produce data and reporting to support surplus lines filings, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance needs.
- Respond to internal and external audit requests with accurate, well-documented support.
- Ensure reporting processes align with internal controls and compliance expectations.
Process Improvement & Scale
- Maintain and continuously improve reporting templates, SOPs, and control checklists.
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction.
- Provide input on reporting architecture and data flows as Delos scales programs and volume.
- Partner cross-functionally to improve upstream data quality and downstream reporting outcomes.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in insurance reporting, insurance finance, MGA/carrier operations, or a related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of insurance concepts, including written vs. collected premium, commissions, fees, and bordereaux reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including reconciliations and large data sets.
- Proven ability to manage recurring deadlines independently and deliver high-quality, error-free work.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and comfort escalating issues when appropriate.
Preferred
- Experience at an MGA, carrier, TPA, reinsurer, or insurance services firm.
- Hands-on experience with PAS platforms and premium or cash reconciliations.
- Familiarity with accounting systems and audit or regulatory reporting processes.
- Experience improving or scaling reporting processes in a growing organization.
