Job Summary:
Proactive and dynamic human resources professional sought as a key member of the Human Resources team. This role is responsible for overseeing our Rippling HRIS, maintaining the system, training colleagues, monitoring updates, designing and sharing reports and using the system to its full potential. This is an ideal position for someone who wants to support the Democrats across the country by enabling them to attract, hire and onboard the most talented team possible and win elections!
Responsibilities:
- Strive to ensure timely and excellent customer service to DNC staff members ensuring the successful operation of Rippling systems including recruiting, onboarding, time-keeping, payroll, performance management, reporting, consultant accounts, and data integrity
- Support the DNC hiring process from job postings through onboarding
- Function as the organizational expert on the recruiting features of Rippling and support hiring managers to utilize the system to its full potential
- Manage the talent bank in collaboration with the political and training team
- Design and maintain the Rippling Performance Review system
- Support the onboarding process from offer letters, onboarding workflow, and collaboration with IT and Operations for first day set-up
- Monitor onboarding paperwork for all new employees and collaboration with our payroll specialist to ensure all new-hires transition to the payroll system
- Support new hire integration and back up orientation programs
- Coordinate administrative communications for arrivals, departures, office transfers and other employee status changes - ensure all managers can successfully initiate status changes and monitor the approval process
- Coordinate with the IT and Operations team to onboard and off-board contractors
- Coordinate with volunteer managers to onboard volunteers ensuring they have signed NDAs and scheduled onboarding sessions where applicable.
- Stage Rippling accounts for volunteers and consultants
- Responsible for monitoring and auditing the I-9 process
- Manage assigned HR tickets (requests) daily and assist the team in assigning tickets on a rotating schedule
- Maintain and manage job descriptions
- Manages maintaining Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed
- Provide general support for various human resources initiatives as required
- Assist with projects and other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of transferable experience
- Two plus years of experience with HRIS administration - Rippling experience preferred
- Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build partnerships with staff
- Ability to create easy to understand training guides and materials
- Dedication to discretion and confidentiality
- Able to multitask, communicate progress and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgment, enthusiasm, can-do attitude, diplomacy, with the ability to be proactive
Salary: The starting salary for the HRIS Specialist position is $65,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.
