DNC Community Power Fellowship Program

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is launching The Community Power Fellowship, a first-of-its-kind initiative to gather direct feedback and learnings from community members, successful community organizers, and coalition leaders across the country. We are seeking applications for fellows to inform organizing best practices in key communities ahead of the 2026 elections.

Program Summary: 

  • Goal: Produce core organizing approaches, tactics, best practices, and case studies to include in a broader package of program resources and recommendations for state parties refining plans for the midterm elections and coordinated campaigns.
  • Structure: DNC will recruit participants across several communities, including Black, Latino, AA&NHPI, Native/Indigenous, Workers and Youth. Participants will engage in a curriculum including TWO work sessions led by a facilitator during the final week of January and first week of February 2026. Sessions will be conducted virtually.

Compensation: A $2,500 stipend will be provided for participation

Ideal Participant Profile

We seek a diverse cohort of up to six individuals per cohort who possess:


  1. 3+ years of on-the-ground community advocacy and/or issue organizing experience
  2. Meaningful experience organizing inside of the community group you are applying for
  3. Direct personal experience with Democratic Party policies, organizing practices and outreach programs 
  4. Record of success in one of the following areas:
    1. Winning local elections / ballot initiatives
    2. Achieving positive outcomes for a community campaign effort or project
  5. Cohort Considerations: 
    1. Representation from a range of states/jurisdictions and diverse subgroups within each community. 
    2. Diversity in length and type of experience
  6. We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every criteria in the ideal profile
