We seek an experienced Senior Project Manager who can help our organization by ensuring our SaaS product releases are launched on schedule, with minimal surprises and maximum impact. What You'll Do 


As Senior Project Manager, you’ll ensure our SaaS product releases are launched on schedule, with minimal surprises and maximum impact. You’ll orchestrate critical cross-functional initiatives, shaping how our customers experience each new feature or offering.


The purpose of this role is to own the planning and execution of product releases cross functionally in a SaaS environment, operational rigor, continuous improvement, and timely communication of risks and progress. This role is the “face” of product launches internally, collaborating with Product, Engineering, CS, Marketing, Sales, and other key teams to deliver high-quality, on-time releases. This role includes ownership of beta testing, and beta exit criteria tracking.


Outcomes You’ll Own 


End-to-End Launch Readiness

  • Develop and maintain standardized processes for Beta, GA, and final release phases.
  • Ensure gating criteria, signoffs, and timelines are clearly defined and tracked.
  • Own beta exit criteria creation and progress tracking including product usage, CSAT, FAQ, and feedback loop to Product / Scrum teams.
  • Work with Support, Onboarding, and CS organizations on customer participant recruitment, beta communication, and training processes.

Cross-Functional Project Management & Leadership

  • Schedule and lead Project Release Team (PRT) forums with clear agendas.
  • Document decisions, action items, and ownership; provide concise follow-ups to leadership.
  • Provide real-time visibility into readiness tasks, beta feedback, and gating milestones via dashboards.
  • Ensure cross-functional release planning meetings are standardized, efficient, and effective across the organization and Scrum teams.
  • Guide and influence teams without direct authority, fostering accountability and timely execution.
  • Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement and transparency in launch operations.

Operational Documentation & Communication

  • Create and update Confluence pages (or similar) outlining tasks, owners, and deadlines.
  • Drive adherence to best practices around readiness checklists and beta testing protocols.
  • Provide relevant teams with organized internal release notes, training materials, and operational updates.
  • Draft and distribute internal release notes for each monthly update to enable customer-facing content, sales, and support training documents. Ensure release notes are clear and timely.
  • Deliver concise status reports and escalate risks/issues as needed.
  • Maintain consistent professionalism across all communication channels.

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present launch status, risk assessments, and improvement proposals to senior stakeholders on a weekly basis or as needed.
  • Deliver polished presentations in executive forums and steering committees.

Process Improvement & Retrospectives

  • Establish and continuously improve frameworks, templates, and accountability structures.
  • Conduct monthly release retrospective meetings with cross-functional leaders to identify successes, areas for improvement, and prioritize action items.
  • Continuously refine the cross-functional release process, including process flow diagrams, meeting cadences, agendas, templates, and checklists.
  • Conduct retrospectives on each release, document lessons learned, and refine processes and SOPs to enhance launch quality and efficiency.

Metrics, Measurement & Risk Management

  • Collaborate with Product teams to define success metrics and provide post-launch recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain success metrics and real-time dashboards for cross-functional release teams.
  • Identify KPIs (e.g., adoption, CSAT) for each release.
  • Present data-driven insights to executives and cross-functional leads.
  • Anticipate and address potential roadblocks proactively.
  • Provide clear, data-backed recommendations to resolve escalated concerns.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree: Business, Technology, or related field
  • PMP Certification (Required): Project Management Professional) required; PgMP or advanced PM certs a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt)

Experience

  • 5+ (Required) years in project management within a SaaS context, with a proven record of leading release-level initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: History of effective collaboration with Product, Engineering, and other teams.
  • Operational Rigor: Demonstrated success in creating or refining SOPs for launches or readiness.
  • Executive-Level Reporting: Confident presenting status, KPIs, and risk mitigation plans to senior leadership.
  • Industry Background: Dental/healthcare tech is a plus, but not mandatory.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to leverage formal PM frameworks for SaaS releases.
  • Go-to-Market Familiarity: Understands typical SaaS release cycles (Beta → GA) and operational interdependencies.
  • Meeting Facilitation & Documentation: Skilled at agenda-driven sessions; produces clear, actionable notes.
  • Risk/Issue Management: Structures risks, mitigation steps, and escalation paths.
  • Thought Leadership: Leverages prior launch experience to champion best practices and continuous improvements.
