About the role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our India office of DESRI, i.e., DESRI India Private Limited, based in Hyderabad, India. The candidate will be a part of Acquisitions and Finance team and will regularly interact with the U.S. and Hyderabad-based teams, as well as external parties. The candidate will be a part of an inclusive, highly skilled team responsible for supporting DESRI’s portfolio of wind, solar, and storage projects within a dynamic environment that values collaboration, thoughtful problem solving, and attention to detail.

What you'll do

Your primary responsibilities include developing and managing detailed financial models for active financing transactions (such as construction to term loans, re financings, junior debt, development loan facilities, etc.), M&A transactions and PPA bids, and assessing key value drivers and risk factors. You will evaluate project returns and capital structures, run scenario and sensitivity analyses across critical variables such as production, pricing, capex, and financing assumptions, and provide clear, actionable insights based on investment memorandums and other core project materials.

You will support the due diligence process, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to review key project documents, including power purchase agreements, EPC contracts, and permitting documents. You will be required to work of investment committee materials, present analytical findings to senior management, and collaborate closely with the U.S. teams on structuring transactions.

Qualifications

• Candidates holding an MBA (finance) or comparable qualification with two to three years of project financing experience.
• The ideal candidate should have excellent financial modelling capabilities and the ability to build project models with limited direction and guidance.
• Proven track record of transaction execution in renewable or infrastructure finance.
• The candidate must have strong communication skills with the ability to summarize complex analysis for decision-makers.
• The candidate must have the ability to collaborate with teams located in different time zones and jurisdictions.
• The candidate must have innovative mindset with AI adoption capabilities
