About the role

DESRI is seeking talented and highly motivated associates or managers (title commensurate with experience) to work on various engineering projects. As a member of the Engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our assets and the firm’s portfolio. You’ll work with a growing team of engineers in a dynamic and agile organization, contributing to the success of renewable energy projects and the transition to a sustainable future.


What you'll do

You’ll be tasked with supporting DESRI’s Engineering team as a project engineer across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, or electrical engineering scopes. You’ll collaborate with the Procurement and Construction teams as projects mature from preliminary early-stage development designs to issued for construction (“IFC”). In addition, you’ll be a vital member of the preconstruction design and execution team while being responsible for technical and engineering project scopes, including engineering, procurement, and construction (“EPC”) technical coordination. You’ll also coordinate design optimization opportunities and project challenges with both internal and external subject matter experts.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should have an undergraduate degree, preferably in engineering, and a minimum of four to seven years of experience.
  • A record of academic and professional achievement, well-developed communication skills, the ability to collaborate well with a small team, proven organizational acumen when working on multiple projects, and a high level of motivation are all vital to this role.
  • A demonstrated interest in and experience with renewable energy projects in the United States, as well as solar experience, are strongly preferred.
  • The expected annual base salary for this position is $120,000 to $200,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, paid time off, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
