Summary:
As the Director of People Operations at Digital Path, you will promote and uphold the company’s core values, ensuring they are effectively communicated and followed throughout the organization. Under the guidance of the CFO, you will maintain a best-practice HR framework aligned with company values, strategies, and goals. You will provide strategic and tactical HR support to management, lead special projects, and drive initiatives to recruit and retain diverse talent. Your responsibilities include managing the hiring process, conducting new hire orientations, advising management and executive teams, and fostering a positive connection to Digital Path’s objectives. You design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and engagement while performing analytical tasks to support the company’s human capital strategy. Reporting to the CFO, you handle complex HR projects, collaborate with managers, and use your expertise to improve workplace productivity and organizational success.

Minimum Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend work on a regular and continuous basis.
- Leadership and Consultation: Partner with the CFO and management to address employee and workplace issues, deliver HR solutions, and drive organizational development initiatives. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR best practices, employee relations, and workforce planning.
- IT: Guide and oversee employee-facing technology IT Staff for successful provisioning/deprovisioning, HRIS and HR tech stack.
- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract diverse and high-quality talent. Build relationships with local talent sources, including colleges, vocational schools, and community organizations. Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure job requirements are clear and candidates are assessed against proper criteria.
- Training and Development: Evaluate organizational training needs, design programs to enhance employee skills, and implement succession planning strategies. Identify creative methods to improve performance, provide recognition, and foster employee growth.
- Employer Branding and Communication: Lead employer branding efforts by designing campaigns and creating materials that highlight the organization’s values, opportunities, and culture. Represent Digital Path in a professional and positive manner to internal and external audiences.
- HR Policy and Compliance: Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Advise management on best practices in compensation, labor relations, employee benefits, and safety.
- Performance Management: Ensure performance evaluation systems are in place for managers to conduct meaningful evaluations and accurately assess employee performance. Provide guidance to managers on employee evaluations, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Compensation and Job Descriptions: Conduct salary surveys, analyze compensation trends, and maintain competitive pay structures. Ensure job descriptions reflect current responsibilities and skills.
- Project Management and Innovation: Lead HR projects within the department and across the organization to improve systems, policies, and procedures, while aligning with organizational objectives. Monitor progress, measure outcomes, and adjust as needed.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct research, collect and analyze HR data, and prepare reports to support decision-making. Present findings and actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Culture and Integrity: Maintain the highest level of professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality. Foster a culture that aligns with the company’s values and promotes inclusivity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction.
- Attend executive and management meetings regularly.

Management responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate performance of assigned staff, establish performance requirements and personal development targets.
- Provide leadership and work with a large group of diverse, multi-disciplined team members to ensure a high performance, service-oriented work environment that supports achieving the operational and organizational objectives and service expectations.
- Establish and communicate the vision, objectives, and goals for your team(s). Select and maintain qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly to you.
- Identify training needs, initiate the development of team members, and recommend effective personnel action.
- Recommend promotion, discharge, and other appropriate personnel actions.
- Conduct timely performance evaluations with employees.
- Take corrective action when problems, performance and/or other issues develop with employees.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Driver License with no DUI’s on record and no more than 1 point
- Current and valid SHRM or HRCI certification – SHRM-SCP or SPHR(PHR) or Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) certification or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, education and certifications in Human Resources, Business or Organizational Development.
- 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with progressively increasing leadership and responsibility
- Demonstrated skill with employment law, compensation, organizational planning and development, employee relations, training, and labor relations. California-specific knowledge and experience required.
- Proficient in computer skills and systems related to the area of Human Resources.
- HRIS system(s) experience.
- Advanced knowledge of employment law, federal, state, and local laws, and regulations.
- Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with a variety of people and situations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products at the intermediate level.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and use repetitive motions including writing and typing.
- Specific vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Requires use of near vision with or without correction, and an ability to see details at close range (such as using a computer monitor, reading reports, etc.).
- Use of computer systems, video displays, keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals for prolonged periods of time.
- Use of hands to hold, grip, carry, and physically interact with objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to navigate all areas of the office, occasionally including areas accessible only by stairs.
- May require carrying, lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 55 pounds.

The pay range for this role is:
95,000 - 115,000 USD per year (Headquarters)
