What You'll Do

  • You will play a critical role in ensuring that our products achieve best-in-class quality.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly evaluate product functionality and performance.
  • Own the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish quality metrics and improve our continuous integration pipeline, testing patterns and techniques.

What We're Looking For

  • 3 or more years of experience working on a web product doing quality assurance.
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
  • Experience with one or more of our programming languages used in house: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and C++.
  • Familiarity with a software ticketing and bug-tracking system like JIRA, Linear, etc.
  • Experience in testing HTTP endpoints using tools such as Postman or scripting with curl.
  • Experience with one or more test frameworks such as Jest, PyTest, Gherkin, Squish, Selenium, or Cypress.
  • Motivated developers who can work with a high level of autonomy, lead initiatives, and make sound technical decisions at every step.
  • Advocates for code quality and best practices, who are not afraid to set higher standards for their team and work diligently to enforce them.
  • Continuous learners who embrace new technologies, evaluate their benefits and trade-offs, and work to understand them on a deep level.
  • Mentors willing to provide guidance and support to others, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of our front-end frameworks (React and Redux).
  • Familiarity with Scrum, Agile, and other software development methodologies.
  • Understanding of product requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented.
  • Early stage startup experience.
  • Familiarity with maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions written with shell, python, and yaml scripts.
  • Background in manufacturing or manufacturing-adjacent industries.

The pay range for this role is:

85,000 - 135,000 USD per year (The Office)
