JOB SUMMARY
Our associate attorneys are responsible for maintaining and growing client relationships and cases with a laser focus on our mission to improve lives. In this role, the associate will work closely with the firm’s partners to achieve our business objectives in a fast-paced environment. Whether communicating or interacting with staff, clients, government entities, judges, or others, empathy is of utmost importance. This position offers a great deal of independence, flexibility for personal styles, and responsibility over case files. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, BCBS benefits, PTO, and Hybrid work with 1 day a week in our Troy, MI Office.
RESONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES
• Represent clients in the pursuit of disability benefits before the SSA.
• Create and maintain a strong attorney-client relationship with each and every client.
• Assist in all levels of the SSA disability process from the initial application through appeals.
• Maintain a steady caseload of hearings with integrity, skill, and compassion.
• Conduct regular communication with clients, and other entities as needed, while projecting a positive image of the firm at all times.
• Contact prospective clients when needed to screen and accept viable disability cases.
• Support department and firm goals through effective communication, representation, and leadership.
• Maintain and complete all tasks in a timely manner with an unwavering and laser focus on deadlines. Timely bring forth any issues to an office manager and/or partner attorney.
KEY SKILLS
• Must be in good standing, as well as an active member of the State Bar of Michigan
• Strong analytical, technical, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate ability to compassionately manage and grow client relationships
• Must have experience in Social Security & capable of doing hearings
Location: Hybrid Schedule with 1 day a week in-office
Salary: $100-$125k
