WHY YOU WOULD BE A FIT?
In this role, the Software Engineer will build features into the Dispatch platform that will lead us toward our goal of redefining same-day delivery. They’ll dig deep into many parts of the system, and will work across the full stack to create new ideas and improve existing functionality.
As a member of our Engineering team, they'll be responsible for shipping code to production early and often. To be most effective, they’ll need to break down work into manageable tasks and gather feedback from users. While working on a cross-functional team, the Software Engineer will make suggestions on best technical solutions and have the autonomy to develop features from start to finish.
Build high quality features that meet business objectives with a focus on usability
Collaborate closely with engineering teammates through code reviews to keep aligned and adhere to best coding practices
Deploy projects to production frequently and monitor the results to ensure quality and positive outcome
Actively solicit feedback from teammates and customers to improve usability of the features being built
Partner with the rest of the product team to come up with ways to make the product better overall
Participate in an on-call rotation to help support and maintain the availability of our systems (twice per year)
Minimum of 2 years of experience building and supporting web applications in a full-stack capacity
Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, Golang, or Javascript/React, and an interest in working directly with both backend and frontend
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be productive on a fast moving team
A track record of learning new technologies on the fly and finding the right tool for the job
Must be a positive, self-driven team-member with a desire to learn
WHAT WE OFFER:
Compensation. The base salary range for this role is $105,000- $125,000 annually. We consider various factors in determining actual pay which include your skills, qualifications, experience, education or training, and location.
