About The Role


Position Title: Finance Business Partner
Employment Type: Full-time


The Finance Business Partner plays a key role in supporting the financial integrity, performance, and strategic decision-making of the business. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and applicable regulatory requirements, while partnering with operational stakeholders to deliver clear financial insights.


 Working closely with the CFO, the role supports financial reporting, month-end close, compliance, and budgeting processes across a multi-entity environment.


What You'll Own


Financial Reporting & Controls

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial information where required.

 

Transaction Oversight & Working Capital

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, and banking activities to ensure accuracy, appropriate authorisation, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and expense trends, identifying risks and variances.
  • Support continuous improvement of transaction processes and financial controls.

 

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with tax filings and external audit processes.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organised financial records.
  • Advise on appropriate accounting treatment of transactions and financial risk considerations.

 

Business Partnering

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Provide financial insights to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Contribute to strengthening finance systems, reporting processes, and governance frameworks.


What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
