We are seeking a Liens Specialist to support our Post-Treatment Department in identifying, negotiating, and resolving liens and reimbursement claims related to client settlements or awards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume environments, understands the intricacies of medical billing and legal compliance, and can advocate for the best financial outcomes for our clients.


What You Will Do

  • Review case files to identify potential liens (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, private health insurers).
  • Request and evaluate lien statements, medical records, and billing documents.
  • Confirm lien validity and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate lien reductions with insurers, healthcare providers, and government agencies.
  • Draft dispute letters, compromise proposals, and resolution agreements.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop strategic settlement plans.
  • Maintain detailed and organized lien records, deadlines, and resolutions.
  • Track payment disbursements and provide regular updates to internal teams.
  • Prepare lien resolution summaries and client-facing reports.
  • Stay current on changes in lien laws and Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) regulations.
  • Assist with audits or appeals as needed.
  • Role may include other relevant duties as assigned.



What We’re Looking For


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in lien resolution, medical billing, workers’ compensation, or personal injury law.
  • In-depth understanding of Medicare/Medicaid lien processes, ERISA, and private insurance liens.
  • Strong negotiation and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems (e.g., Clio, SmartAdvocate).
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage a high caseload independently.





The pay range for this role is:

23 - 28 USD per hour (Corporate Office)
