Position: Human Resources Generalist

Position Location: Remote - work virtually from anywhere in the United States

Job Summary

The Human Resource Generalist will collaborate with all staff to perform the daily functions of the Human Resource department including coordination, onboarding, training and other support as needed.  This person will be part of the Operations Team and work closely with all departments.  


The Human Resource Generalist will receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects, tasks or assignments.  May work independently, consistently exercising discretion and independent judgment on individual work, or may work under immediate supervision.  May serve as lead on routine projects, tasks or assignments of limited scope.


This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives. 


Essential Functions


General HR Support & Administration (50%)

  • Maintain and update employment files, process required documentation and perform data entry ensuring systems containing employment-related data are accurate.
  • Create and update HR templates and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively to assist with documenting HR procedures and processes.
  • Assist with general employee relations issues
  • Assist with the offboarding process, ensuring completion of required steps and timely communication.
  • Assist with employee training 
  • Contribute to the department's automation and process improvement efforts using AI and digital tools.

HR Systems, Reporting & Analytics (20%)

  • Assist with the migration to Rippling HRIS. 
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports on key HR metrics such as turnover, headcount, DEI, onboarding, and engagement.
  • Analyze trends and provide data-driven insights to support HR strategies and decision-making.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.

Employee Onboarding / Schedule Coordination (30%)

  • Coordinate onboarding efforts to ensure smooth transitions for new hires, including orientation materials and system access.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of career fairs, in-person training events, and other employee engagement initiatives
  • Support branding and candidate engagement via social media and other digital platforms.

Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget


Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of human resource processes and best practices
  • Intermediate skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management to support our software defined organization

  • Skilled in leveraging technology in new and creative ways to solve routine tasks or problems
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
  • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
  • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Ability to actively listen, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions
  • Ability to be empathetic and patient while responding to employee concerns
  • Ability to identify and evaluate candidate hard and soft skills when recruiting
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, coworkers, clients, vendors
  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states 
  • Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meeting for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.

Education / Experience


Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field

OR

  • A recognized HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) 

PLUS

  • Minimum of three years of human resource experience
