Position Title: Engineer I - Electrical or ICT Focus
Position Location: Remote - work virtually from anywhere in the United States
JOB SUMMARY
The Engineer I will have the opportunity to work with senior design staff to advance their design skills for commercial building design and construction. They will learn, through hands-on application, how to design a wide variety of projects. This person will work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents, assist in project specifications and assist in the construction administration process.
Engineers in this role may choose to pursue a project management–focused career track, gain exposure across all three MEP disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing/Fire Protection), or progress toward deeper specialization. Specialization paths may include Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing/Fire Protection design, as well as advanced focus areas such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Power Systems Studies, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), or other mission-critical engineering specialties, based on individual interests, strengths, and business needs.
The Engineer I will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. This person will work under immediate supervision.
The Engineer I will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
In support of your success and long-term growth at DLB, the Design Team hosts a week-long, in- person onboarding and training program for new hires. This immersive experience, held at DLB’s Training & Collaboration space at Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey, is designed to help you build meaningful connections, gain hands-on exposure to our tools and standards, and develop a strong understanding of how your work contributes to our projects and teams. The program provides dedicated time to learn, collaborate, and confidently step into your role alongside fellow Design Team members.
Attendance and active participation in this training are required as part of your onboarding with the Design Team. All reasonable travel expenses associated with attending this training will be covered by DLB.
