Domaine is looking for a Solutions Engineer to help craft innovative technical solutions for our Clients, beginning at pre-sales until project discovery. This person should be an expert problem solver and will work hand-in-hand with both Sales and Delivery teams to ensure each new project is accurately scoped, meticulously proposed, and contains best-in-class technology recommendations to get the job done.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
This is a senior level position that requires 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical solutions capacity. We have team members with product/software background, digital agency experience, and even on the ecommerce brand side. Both backend and frontend development expertise is valued. Some key features of the Solutions Engineer are as follows:
- A people-person who has the confidence to present technical project details to both prospective clients and internal team members. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working with various stakeholders from C-Suite to individual contributors.
- Experience with the technical sales lifecycle, from first contact with prospects through SOW execution and all the various stages between.
- Experience with development languages and general best practices, for example: HTML, SCSS, JS, RESTful & GQL APIs, and SDLC. (This isn't a development role, but you should be comfortable talking about these topics with clients.)
- eCommerce industry experience and proven ability to architect complex solutions that involve our favorite 3 letter acronym systems: ERPs, OMS, PIM, WMS, etc.
- Experience with 3rd Party eCommerce integrations and the ability to determine the right tool through review of API documentation, hands-on testing, or even joint partnership solutioning.
- Experience working with Shopify is a must (alternative ecommerce platform experience a bonus).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain trust with clients through excellent listening and communication skills.
- Identify risks, and potential pitfalls in a project by uncovering them early on in the solutioning process.
- Requirements gather through asking the right questions.
- Developing an understanding of all the systems, integrations and processes involved in a project, and translating that into clear documentation to set our project teams up for long term success.
- Planning and running discovery workshops with the support of a project team.
- Documenting detailed technical requirements based on your pre-sales and discovery findings.
- Partnering with the sales team to sell well-scoped and profitable projects.
- Maintaining positive relationships with integration partners to deliver system integrations between Shopify and other third-party platforms.
- Researching new and upcoming changes in Shopify and the broader ecommerce ecosystem.
- Develop, maintain, and improve our sales tooling and scoping process.
