Donum Dei Classical Academy, a Gift of God, opened in August 2019 in San Francisco, California. Our mission is to impart a rich classical Christian curriculum full of Scriptural truth and life-giving experiences. We exist to nourish students’ hearts, souls, minds, and bodies for the purpose of growing in them knowledge, wisdom, good character, and Christ-like virtue worthy of bringing glory to our great God. The leadership team has set the foundation for a rich intellectual and spiritual culture, with excellent teachers across disciplines who are dedicated to shaping the hearts and minds of the young.

School Hours

Monday through Thursday, 8:00am-3:15pm and Friday, 8:00am-1:30pm | Extended Care until 5:30pm

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

Requirements

  • Agree with Donum Dei’s Statement of Faith and serve as a minister of the Gospel.
  • Complete professional development requirements and safety training throughout the school year as applicable.
  • Attend Morning Assembly (M/W/F at 8am) and Friday Staff Meetings (1:45-2:45) as applicable.
  • Participate in school activities such as Parent Orientation, Back to School Night, The Greatest Gift, equipping events and fundraisers as applicable.
  • Have a love for children, display a love for learning, and commit to cultivate that love for learning in students.
  • Devote yourself wholeheartedly to the Lord and be in good standing with a Christian church.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional working experience in specified job areas


Role & Responsibilities


Student Health & Wellness:

  • Provide first aid and medical care to students and staff for minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Assess and respond to student health concerns, referring to outside medical professionals as needed.
  • Maintain accurate health records for students, including medical histories, allergies, and emergency contacts.
  • Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, severe allergies) and coordinate care with parents and teachers.

Preventative Health & Compliance:

  • Conduct regular lice checks and provide guidance to families on treatment and prevention.
  • Ensure the school remains compliant with state vaccine requirements and maintain up-to-date immunization records.
  • Notify parents of missing or expired vaccinations and assist with compliance tracking.
  • Educate students, staff, and parents on illness prevention, hygiene, and overall wellness.

Medication Management & First Aid Readiness:

  • Organize and maintain the school’s medicine cabinet, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and documentation.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, following state regulations and school policies.
  • Train staff on emergency medical procedures, including EpiPen administration and CPR.
  • Monitor and replenish first aid supplies in classrooms and common areas.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for health-related concerns between the school, parents, and healthcare providers.
  • Provide timely communication to families regarding student illnesses, injuries, and health policies.
  • Work closely with administration to develop and implement health and safety protocols.

Emergency Preparedness & Response:

  • Assist in developing and updating school emergency medical plans.
  • Respond to health-related emergencies and coordinate with emergency responders if needed.
  • Participate in school safety drills, ensuring medical needs are considered in emergency planning.

Health Education & Outreach:

  • Promote a healthy school environment through wellness initiatives and health education.
  • Support students in developing healthy habits related to nutrition, hygiene, and mental well-being.
  • Provide training or workshops for staff and families on relevant health topics.

Working Schedule

Working Days - TBD

  • Working Schedule: including but not limited to school trimesters, required in-service days,  and required professional development days.

Employment Type

Part Time Exempt - 5 hours per week

Set PTO and Sick Pay

Administrative Staff Set PTO Schedule

  • Set PTO: (10 weeks) Based on the published 25/26 Academic Calendar


San Francisco County Sick Pay

  • 72 hours annually accrued at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked.

Compensation

Compensation is an annual salary paid bimonthly with partial salary paid as tuition credit if applicable.


The pay range for this role is:

6,000 - 6,250 USD per year (Campus)
