Donum Dei Classical Academy, a Gift of God, opened in August 2019 in San Francisco, California. Our mission is to impart a rich classical Christian curriculum full of Scriptural truth and life-giving experiences. We exist to nourish students’ hearts, souls, minds, and bodies for the purpose of growing in them knowledge, wisdom, good character, and Christ-like virtue worthy of bringing glory to our great God. The leadership team has set the foundation for a rich intellectual and spiritual culture, with excellent teachers across disciplines who are dedicated to shaping the hearts and minds of the young.

School Hours

Monday through Thursday, 8:00am-3:15pm and Friday, 8:00am-1:30pm | Extended Care until 5:30pm

As the Fundraising Specialist, you will communicate both internally and externally as you assist all departments in maintaining and growing the fundraising efforts of Donum Dei.  Your goals will be to develop connections with potential donors and connectors in conjunction with the Director of Development, Principal, and the Board.

Requirements

  • Agree with Donum Dei’s Statement of Faith and serve as a minister of the Gospel.
  • Complete professional development requirements and safety training throughout the school year as applicable.
  • Attend Morning Assembly (M/W/F at 8am) and Friday Staff Meetings (1:45-2:45) as applicable.
  • Participate in school activities such as Parent Orientation, Back to School Night, The Greatest Gift, equipping events and fundraisers as applicable.
  • Have a love for children and learning as a motivator for the work of supporting the school’s growth and sustainability.
  • Devote yourself wholeheartedly to the Lord and be in good standing with a Christian church.
  • Looking for: organized, detail oriented, self-managed, proactive, problem solver. Must be creative and relational with respect to nurturing donors and giving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional working experience in fundraising/finances

Role & Responsibilities


Fundraising Strategy & Execution:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and Principal on fundraising initiatives, including the Annual Fund.
  • Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of the Annual Gala and other fundraising events.
  • Monitor giving trends throughout the year, providing reports and insights to the development team.
  • Support end-of-year giving campaigns, ensuring strategic communication and donor engagement.

Donor Relations & Engagement:

  • Cultivate relationships with donors, connectors, and parents to advance the school’s mission.
  • Schedule and host meetings with key donors to strengthen engagement and financial support.
  • Implement a donor engagement plan, ensuring personalized communication and follow-ups.
  • Manage donor acknowledgment and recognition processes, including thank-you letters and special acknowledgments.

Development Communications:

  • Write and execute development-related communications, including appeals, newsletters, and event invitations.
  • Provide quarterly updates to donors and stakeholders on fundraising progress and impact.
  • Maintain consistent messaging across all advancement communications, ensuring alignment with school values and mission.

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Work closely with the events team and volunteer coordinators to secure and manage auction items for fundraising events.
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring seamless logistics and donor engagement.

Donor & Data Management:

  • Track and document all communications between the development team and donors, ensuring accurate records.
  • Maintain and update donor profiles in the CRM, tracking giving history and engagement.
  • Conduct donor research to identify new fundraising opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.

Grants & Funding Research:

  • Research potential grant opportunities aligned with the school’s mission and funding needs.
  • Assist in writing and submitting grant applications to secure additional funding sources.

  • Working Schedule: including but not limited to school trimesters, required in-service days,  and required professional development days.

Employment Type

Part Time Salaried Exempt - 20 hours per week

Set PTO and Sick Pay

Administrative Staff Set PTO Schedule

  • Set PTO: (10 weeks) Based on the published 25/26 Academic Calendar

San Francisco County Sick Pay

  • 72 hours annually accrued at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked.

Compensation

Compensation is an annual salary paid bimonthly with partial salary paid as tuition credit if applicable.


The pay range for this role is:

20,000 - 25,000 USD per year (Campus)
