Position Overview:

As the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for LMA (Leadership+ Management = Accountability) of the procurement team, where you will develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Oversee the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and operational efficiency.

  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Lead specific strategic and tactical global sourcing initiatives for DCM Hardware.

 

Required Skill Sets:

  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement within manufacturing
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools
  • Deep understanding of supply chain management principles
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of contract law and vendor management
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Global sourcing experience and familiarity with international procurement regulations and practices

 

Desired Skill Sets:

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM)
