Job Summary:
The Pricing Strategy Manager will provide analysis, insight, development, maintenance and ownership of the company’s commercial pricing strategy. Will generate pricing and other data-driven recommendations through critically analyzing diverse pricing, financial modeling strategies, and tactics. The Pricing Strategy Manager will lead and advance pricing initiatives, perform competitive pricing analysis and lead/support other strategic initiatives with innovation and creativity. Will partner with sales and product marketing teams to develop creative pricing solutions, and value-driven talking points to guide product and revenue growth. The Pricing Strategy Manager will monitor customer profitability, to ensure pricing tactics are performing as expected.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead, direct and own formulation of list price and take necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability and ensure accuracy of product pricing.
- Assist with pricing negotiations of customers’ proposals.
- Review and approve special prices for DCU, QUAD and ADS customers.
- Maintain special customer discounts.
- Setup New Item Cards to ensure accuracy and consistency in BC for DCU, QUAD and ADS.
- Monitor and manage low margin exception reports for DCU, QUAD and ADS.
- Analyze profit margins by product and customer to monitor the effectiveness of customer discounts.
- Maintain Customer Discount Groups/Items, includes adding new Customer Discount Groups and new Item Discount Group.
- Manage and administer tariff related pricing strategy.
- Implements Annual Price Increase (Includes increase recommendation with back-up documentation, analysis of data, preparation of files, coordination with other departments to include Marketing blasts, invoice and quote notes, e-mail signatures).
- Prepare customer price files for customers who require new pricing early.
- Implement other price increases for ADS, Quad, etc.
- Perform mass uploads of part numbers.
- Upload pricing for Quad customers (200 parts for DC4000, DC7000, and DC28k).
- Maintain and regularly update a pricing increase history database.
- Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements, and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing system. (Example: Price Override Approval Process).
- Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market conditions.
- Collaborate with purchasing, marketing, and sales departments to ensure integrated profit maximizing approaches.
- Update item masters with new list price when vendors issue new price lists for hardware parts.
- Research and resolve pricing issues.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in marketing and pricing initiatives, including performing and interpreting quantitative research required.
- Background in manufacturing preferred with additional consideration given for door industry experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
