Role & Responsibilities

The Specialist, Social Media and Content Creation is a mid-level position at Dreww. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of our Always-on social media service for a portfolio of brands. Central to our service is the continuous production of short-form videos, particularly for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, for which you will be responsible. Your mission will be to shape culture and influence consumer habits for your assigned clients while growing their social media accounts, building engaged communities, and increasing demand for their products or services.


As the driving force behind our clients’ adoption of a content creator’s approach to social media, you will oversee content strategy, ideation, pre-production, production, post-production coordination, content calendar management, content amplification, community management supervision, and reporting. You will be supported by a Junior Specialist and a Short-Form Video Editor. Occasionally, you might even feature as the face and voice of the client’s social media account if the right opportunity arises, just as a Content Creator would.


As a Specialist, Social Media and Content Creation, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop social media content strategies.
  • Generate and pitch creative ideas for short-form videos.
  • Plan and organize all aspects of video shoots.
  • Execute video shoots, ensuring high-quality content capture, and direct on-screen talent.
  • Oversee the editing process, provide feedback, and ensure timely delivery of final videos.
  • Develop and maintain detailed content calendars to ensure consistent and organized posting.
  • Use Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager to target content to relevant audiences.
  • Oversee community management efforts, ensuring engagement and responsiveness across platforms.
  • Gather data, produce monthly and quarterly reports, analyze metrics, and develop insights to guide future content creation efforts.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on progress, gather feedback, and ensure alignment on goals.
  • Maintain and develop strong connections with clients.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and effective.
  • Provide guidance and support to Junior Specialists, helping them develop their skills and advance to the Specialist level.
  • Occasionally, you might feature as the face and voice of the client’s account if the right opportunity arises.
  • Outreach and management of collaboration with creators.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, filmmaking, or relevant experience is a plus.
  • 1-8 years of experience in an agency, marketing, or content creation role.
  • Perfectly bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven skills in creating engaging short-form social media video content.
  • Highly creative with a strong aptitude for generating new ideas and innovative solutions.
  • Experience in using Meta Ads Manager and/or TikTok Ads Manager.
  • Extensive experience with social media platforms, analytics tools, cameras, lighting, and video editing software.
